Mk7 fiesta tdci titanium blend motor

Hi . Heating blowing from vents is poor and clicking noise . After googling found it to be the blend door motor for heater.
I watched few YouTube vids based on the st version.
All looked simple . Take cowling of steering wheel and then access to blend motor behind dash .
Took the cowling off and there's a rectangular silver alloy box . I haven't a clue what it is and how to get it off . It's to left side of wheel (,UK spec)
The climate controls are automatic.
