My B max has eaten the porcelain insulator and the piece that sparks with the electrode.Firing on 2 is as lumpy as fk and God knows if the debris will score the cylinder or worse when the garage put new plugs in.
The only good thing so far is I drove it 6 km to the garage and it didn’t drop the cylinder or head.
Time will tell.

Update, for anybody whom read my woes.
Compression test says it’s buggered,Ford say they can take the engine out and have a look, them tell me it can’t be repaired and I need a new engine.
So I now have an uneconomical repair(engine swap) and what was an 8000€ car sat on the drive.
We are trying to find a second hand engine but I can only find 1 in the whole of France.

1.0 litre 125 bhp ecoboost.
Another mechanic told me it could have been the E10 unleaded we have been running it on.So much for doing our bit to save the environment.
Also found a few other engines.A swap would be about 4000€ so it’s not really an economical option.

Don't know if this is any help - in Belgium but certainly a lot cheaper. smile

Ford told me 6 hours or so to remove the engine,so I assume 6 to put it back in,all done at 90€/hour.
Mrs S just want shut now as it’s had 2 accidents and repairs, both done via insurance and none fault. If she wants shut, who am I to argue.
Maybe a new Dacia Sandero Stepway will take its place.
