Hello All, This is my first foray to the Ford forum.

I am in the hunt for a replacement for our CMax (2005 Ghia 2.0TDCi), which we have had for 15yrs!

I am off to see this Titanium X tomorrow afternoon.

If there are any particular items I should look to check visually (beyond state of tyres, disks, exhaust, dings, warning lights, checking toys work, starts, goes, stops OK) please shout. Appreciate a diesel Mondeo is not the most PH car but I am nonetheless quite excited. A facelift TitX has been my top choice for a while.

one question - I assume I could fit a towbar and roofbars if required. The latter are definitely available for estates but less obviously so for the hatch. Need to be able to get the roofbox on!

Thanks

sherman

Iirc theres body colur tabs on the roof that move to allow roof bar mounts to be attached.

Towbars just seem to stick out from the bottom of the bumper

Thanks. Sorry that was rubbish of me. 2 secs Googling answered my own question - roof bars seem to be the type that wrap round the top of the door opening rather than screw into a bespoke hole like our CMax.

Off to drive this one tomorrow:

Wish me luck! It's been a bit of a drawn out process trying to get a new (to me) car! But this is what I really want. A Mk4.5 TitX estate.

That is very nice Sherman. Bit of a different league!

So I have bought a Mondeo - a 2012 62 reg Titanium X estate. It is the 163BHP 2.0TDCi and has leather seats and Touchscreen navigation. It drove very nicely, everything seemed to work so I decided to go for it.

Question - the image below is a piccy from the exact car. I was wondering if this unit has DAB as well as FM? I confess other than checking the radio worked I didn't play with it much beyond that.

Thanks
