Sync version / reversing camera

How do I find out what Sync version I’ve got ?

I’m looking at having a reversing camera fitted to my Kuga (66 plate Titanium X). Ford say I’d need a new head unit so £1000 before I start, aftermarket need to know the Sync version.

Looked at that earlier, can’t tell if it’s a Sync with MyFord Touch or Sync 3. I need to see if I can swipe/pinch.

And just to add to my confusion other results show Sync 2, which looks suspiciously like what I’ve got.

I suspect you're right: we've got Sync(1) in the Fiesta, & had 3 in the works Focus, yours looks like neither. For what it's worth, if you're handy with spanners etc, you might find a set on the usual auction site, rather than the Ford or after market route. I'm thinking of the same for the Fiesta, & it seems breakers yards are clued up to the upgrade potential, they advertise the camera with the wiring etc. The snag is getting the car to "see" it, it needs coding in after it's fitted, but that can be done.

I'd say Sync 2. Think the misses has sync 1 in her 2015 Kuga with the Sony badged radio, I definitely have sync 3 in my focus and its current gen with a mainly blue background across all models.

Thanks all. Looks very much like it's a Sync 2 but I'll call in at the local Ford place at some point and get them to confirm.

Your display looks the same as my 2016 Focus (sync 2).

Sync 2 had the navigation maps on a SD card. Sync 3 is updated by wi-fi.
