not a major problem but the damn airbag has just started flashing on my ST24

any clue's how or what to do to cure it ??


my saxo vtr has een flashing for 6 years on and off so not overly bothered


but if anybody has the cure please tell

Mine did this and if it's flashing 4 times and then pauses and repeats then it's the code for the seat belt pretensioner. If that's the case the switch everything off and unplug, clean and reassemble all the electrical plugs under the drivers seats. You may need to unbolt and lift the seat to do this. You should fine the problem is sorted (for a year or so anyway).

WARNING! disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait 30 minutes before doing any work on any part of the airbag or belt pretensioners circuits there are capacitors in the airbag module that need to be discharged or these things can go off. People have gotten killed and seriously injured working on these systems.

This may sound like overkill to some but definitely a case of better safe than sorry.
