Driven one, and it's good fun. yes In black with the panoramic roof it looks quite mean...

Titanium spec is as rare as rocking horse shit at the moment... Ford can't keep up with demand.

Looks top notch. The first ever "people carrier" I wouldn't be ashamed to own.

To clarify - that's factory orders. If you're not too fussy on colours, there is dealer stock about.

gone and ordered one....
4 week delivery as a dealer happened to have a cancelled order with the spec we wanted.
shows the state of the industry when a car that's been out for 3 months and is easily best in class can be had for a 2k off list.

Looking at chopping in My Porker 996 for one of these, I get good discount from Ford and its the only car in the range that is interesting enough to make me move, I'm sure the Blue Fin chip should work taking the power to nearly 260bhp

Where did you get 2K off list main dealer??

think blacks the way to go

I really like the S Max. I had the option of a Diesel Titanium with X Pack about 3 weeks ago.

Discounts are available (approx £1,500 off list iirc).

various brokers can get about 2k off (new-car-discount.co.uk, ukcarbroker.co.uk), can be 1-2 wk delivery on a standard spec car.
If you want any options it's more like 8-12 weeks depending on whether they can amend an order.
Personally I think (based on highly relevant professional experience) that a family car without ESP is a) insanity on the part of the buyer and b) a massively irresponsible piece of decontenting on the part of the OEM, so I was always going to look for this as an option.
In the end Dagenham Motors had a car ordered (must be someone's cancelled order I guess) in exactly the spec we wanted: titanium, 2.5 turbo, achine silver, x-pack, ESP, ready in 4 weeks.
They almost matched the broker's quote after a fair bit of bargaining.
