Autocar has good things to say about it in this weeks issue. Their only really bad point seemed to be about the styling. I personally think it looks far more interesting than anything else in the class!!
Does seem to be a bit slow though... I know it was damp, so can forgive the 0-60 time of 10sec due to initial traction problems, but 0-100 in nearly 35seconds just seems a bit on the sluggish side. Hopefully the 2.2 TDCi will do the job.

These magazines are a bunch of whining tossers!! They slate Ford for conservative styling on previous models, now they release a FAMILY class car that puts some so called premium cars to shame and they still moan! I thought it looked "clumsy" in some pictures but it seems MUCH better in the flesh which is really what matters? The body kitted ones look mint
Well that's what I meant about the 407. I've driven one of those, and was not at all impressed. I'd have given it about 2 stars compared to 4 for the old mondeo and 3 for the Vectra. This was about 18 months ago, so would expect the new Mondeo to be better still in comparison to the other two.
I'll have a drive in a new mondeo a bit nearer car change time. I'm still 33,000 miles away yet! The only thing putting me off is that it is bloomin huge compared to my Focus, and I'm not sure I need a car as big as that. I could just go for a top spec 2.0 TDCi (my 1.6TDCi is too slow) Focus and save money on tax...
