Just over a week to go to the meeting, I'm getting an itchy right foot already.

Ok, so we're meeting at McDonalds at 1pm, but where does everyone fancy going? Best suggestion gets to lead.......

Hi got into this thread a bit late. I live in Chelmsford. My family are away the first weekend in June so may well be up for this if the jobs list left for me isn't too long!!
Pardon my ignorance on the matter but where are you proposing to meet and what do you plan to do on the day? Look forward to hearing from you!!

becky - I think I've seen you out and about a couple of times... did you follow me from Chelmsford station down victoria road in rush hour one day?

Ian - as we're meeting at 1pm, the natural choice has to be straight to the pub for lunch

We are meeting in McDonalds car park near Junc 7 of the M11. There is a Shell garage just up the road that sells Optimax.

When you get off the motorway follow the signs for Epping - you can't miss it.

As we are meeting a 1pm - it should give every one chance to have lunch before we set off. That way we can spend a few hours on the blast before stopping. I'm aiming to be back home for about 7pm so that way we can have a bloody go run out.

Are we not heading back to the Greyhound pub? Its such a good venue (and great spot for photos) it seems daft not to.

I'm sure that we can come up with better locations for photos and food, but it depends on how far everyone wants to drive.

Dont worry everyone. My brother and i have sorted a out a wicked route for the blast I dont think it will last HOURS!!! But probebly about 45-60 mins
We have also sorted out a nice pub to stop at with a BIG car park. It is a really good route coz i know it well and i know the safe bits where we can "GIVE IT SOME"

See ya all there!

Just had another thought - it would be worth while making sure that everyone knows our mobile numbers just in case people get split up/lost that way we can sort them out.

You'd have to hammer it some to cover 180miles in 1.5 hours!

It's not that far, surley. I've been past it - near Baldock. And yes, numpties aside, I plan to hammer it! To be on the safe side I might leave 10ish then!

Chatsworth is not near Baldock - it's in the Peak District, ie oop norf.

Best leave a bit earlier.

Cheers.
