Yes a lot of the roots group vehicles were good strong usable cars,a few years ago my father owned a Hillman minx and ran into the rear of an austin metro ,the metro was totaled the minx chrome bumper was hardly out of place . My next door neighbour had a none running car taken off the drive while he was at work never saw it again put it down to a scrappy.got to be carefully not to leave older cars on the drive especially if scrapped values are high.they don't care if its a classic or not all the see is its scrapped value.

Hi Keith

Sorry that we missed you at the Tees Valley regional meet at the Parkmore. We used to arrive at 12 but that was changed a couple of years ago to 10.30 and it looks as though the website hasn't been updated. On March 11 we have the Cobweb Run which starts at Scotch Corner at approx 10.30 so the next time we will be at the Parkmore will be April 8. It would be great if you could join us. I have a 3000M and live in Darlington.

Hi nothing to update on wfd400h at the moment with work and family commitments , found tvr owners club meeting tees valley meet second Sunday in the month at a hotel near me , times avertized as twelve till three so went down at one only to be told they had been and gone since ten thirty , think they need there website updating , next time I'll consult my Cristal ball ?, I did find a guy not far from me that has a 70s 3000m he's just starting to do a complete renovation on, so was nice to chat with like minded people, will have to get into garage and move forward with this rebuild this year. Need to find someone to either make a new headcloth or repair bottom edges of old one , as mine is in tidy condition apart from rear lower edges , will keep updating progress as it happens. Keith.
Hi Keith, sorry for your wasted trip to The Parkmore. The TVR Tees Valley meeting time was changed in Sept 2016 as regular attendees wanted an earlier time to allow for a 'drive out'. It hasn't made that much difference to be honest, but the change was made by general conscientious. The meeting time has been changed in Sprint magazine, but if you can let me know where it is still shown as 12:00 I'll arrange for it to be changed.

Please feel free to contact me on the TVR Tees Valley Region e-mail; teesvalley.tvrcc@gmail.com

I can include you on our e-mail list to keep you updated on our events, outings and activities if you wish.
It would be a welcome site and an addition to the Tees Valley Region group if your Vixen was to be seen out and about. Also any info on the 3000M would be great and most welcome as I have been unsuccessful to trace my old one.

Hi David sorry have meant to post an update for a while now been busy work and family committments , people are right when they say that when they retired they didn't don't know how they found time for work , always seams to be something more important to do before the tvr I did get the new spare wheel painted and the tyre fitted , i do believe if i had a multi size garage to work in I'd of got further with the renovation a cingle garage does restrict you, still just looked at a u tube of a 1300 vixen first outing after a 15 year renovation , so I'm not to that stage yet hope we have a decent summer so I can plod on with the renovation , good news is one of my mates who is hot on wireing as offered to lend a hand ,just a note for tvr club teeside I'll try to come to the April meeting on the 8th , and will try and get info on the 3000m to

I had heard troublesome things about early TVR wiring but that is one thing that I had no nonsense with..
Anything that caused problems were the donor parts from other makes..

Even my premises has space problems..
Have eight vehicles here at present..
Only one a customer car though..
The rest are mine..
WFD would have been here if I had the circumstances I have now as would the Mason Stiletto. I am waiting for the owner to resurface again after tempting offer of involvement towards another chapter id Motorsport
My Facebook site "Llewellyn Imp Motorsport " does reviel all he details

Hi no problem it was done by coulorteck in Stockton on tees I would recommend these people they picked the body and bonnet up and delivered it back and sent me photos of each step .it took three weeks and I'm very happy with it especially with the price , considering some of the rediculas prices I was quoted. Contact Paul on 07870651712 mention my tvr I'm sure he will help you .good luck with your vixen ,regards keith
