Hi David as far as I know cosford is in the middlands, I think TVR owners club must have a show at the cosford museum on them dates, whether wfd 400h will decide to make an appearance will have to wait and see , she's fighting me all the way at the moment , everything I touch seems to lead to another problem, not to mention the 9 stitches to my little finger end after one afternoon session working on her, she decided to physically attack me , the bh , and after all I've done for her , seams like she just wants to rest up for another 20 years she's turning out worse than the wife , and nearly as expensive, be sure I will let you know if we can make it , would be nice for you to see her again after all this time , regards keith

My oh my..A month has gone by since the last post..
Only just saying on facebook how my TVR Vixen kept rejecting all the non TVR bits that were fitted to it..
Seems after being awoken from dormancy it is reoccurring.

£19,950 max bid and didn’t meet the reserve. Unusual.

Wfd 400h strikes again, in the process of fitting an oil cooler and running the V6 Colone engine to temperature a noise appeared , on checking found water pump bearings have given up the gost, could be worse initially thought noise was fibre timeing gear , suppose you got to expect these things when vehicles stand around for so long , another job on the list , one step forward two steps back , keith

Having put so much time effort and money into the car, which looks great by the way, and you still have fibre timing gears in it shame on you; you will regret it if they go bang.

Engine was already built when I got car and ran well when I got it fixed up , so didn't want to strip it to check if it had fibre ones in but was told it had different cam in it , so maybe they
Have been changed in the past , I've been in the motor trade all my working life and I'm a big believer in if it's not broken don't fix it, and as the noise was around the timeing cover it was the first thing that came to mind , till I found the water pump bearing noise , anyway not every fibre gear brakes up , so I'll just have to take that chance, as engine sounds fine without fan belt on . keith

I agree with the "If it ain't broke don't fix it" philosophy, however, I have had some experience with these engines in TVR's and other marques and the fibre gears are a weak point; if they fail the damage can be considerable. Ask Dollyman or Andrew I am sure they will advise you to check whether you have fibre gears or not.

Didn`t look a bad example really and plenty of specialised bits to make it more desirable..It reminded me of WFD when i first bought it back in 1980..Almost there and a goer but as usual a never ending list of things to do..
Rare car now and i have only seen another one way back parked up outside a property in Hornchurch.Essex..
Anyone on here have such an example?
