Interesting day for you both ..Makes a change i guess from a conventional motor vehicle show.

From your pictures WFD looks so much more exciting and interesting from the later TVR`s,but maybe that`s because i am bias!

Car looks great! The orange paint looks good for brightening up the damp British summer :-)

Hello Keith,

Please to mention that another of my past treasures has re-emerged ,not a TVR but the Sunbeam Mason Stiletto that i purchased from its first owner David Enderby at the same time as WFD although from a different source ..

Afraid i got carried away back in 1979 when i sold my first property and thought i was rich..

Unlike WFD i sold the Mason Stiletto some three times in bits over the 25 years after failing to attempt to get back into a motorsport dream again ..
It left me for the final time at around 2005 and after being in the same status with a further 2 owners has now emerged in unfinished project form and hopefully to be back on track in the future.

First image as it was at its best.

Second ..Ditto

Third ..In the body shell chassis state as i last sold it in around 2005.

Lastly , As it is today with bodywork removed ,but stored seperately

For those who have not seen the past post of TVR Vixen WFD 400H on my YouTube video then here is the caption to view on the YouTube channel(??).

TVR VIXEN S2 WFD 400H MASON STILETTO IRISH SETTER COPPA

Content is mostly of my then lovely Irish Setter ,but it shows what life was like in 1979/80`s ,shared accommodation next to Brentwood Station and the conditions of preparing a race car ,let alone leaving a TVR on the street overnight back then.
Something that i would`nt think of doing in 2021

Really enjoyed reading this thread from start to finish, kudos to Keith for persisting through all the years to finish this great restoration, and to David for his support/passion for his former car.

I hope one day there will be a picture on here of you both enjoying a drive in WFD 400H.

Good to see this post is still interesting to people and I am so grateful to David wfd400H previous owner for the help he as given over the years while renovating the old girl , would be nice for him to see car in the flesh as it is today , just the distance involved although car would be up to it don’t think my bodywork could take the drive, as I’m 19 years older than the car, thanks also to everyone on this post I for all the positive comments
