With all due respect an 'S' isn't exactly the most expensive or exotic TVR to rebuild and I'd doubt he'd even be able afford the purchase of the car itself, let alone the work required to put it back on the road

I don't know the figures but I'd hazard a guess that Graham would be happy to have 'only' spent £100k on his project(s)

TVRs admin must have been all over the place if all these special cars are not known. I swear there are ex employees on ph who know every location of every odds and sods car ever made. They also know the answers to every question ever asked on the forum but choose to keep silent. I know of one such very clever grease monkey who does just that. smile

Difficult to believe I know but TVR never had a proper management structure and most people where allowed to just get on with it and as a result cars weren't kept track of or where just dumped, broken up or if someone was quick enough or knew PW would do a deal and take the vehicle in question with the Zante, White Elephant and the show car being just a few examples.

You're correct about ex-staff knowing things that they won't share and that's their perogative but people can find out info if they know who to ask and have genuine reasons other than idle curiosity.

Hi,

BFV is having some finishing touches to the AM engine. After that, it's spray time, sort the brakes, air jacks and lots of bits of pieces. After that it's testing. S&D are spraying one of the doors this week to see how the colour looks. I'm going to leave the CF weave showing in places, besides filler adds weight...

W112 is per David. Engine is almost back together, steering modification to do, new batteries needed, lots of TLC from Jonny to make sure everything is A1.

Funnily enough they could well be back to life at the same time. Talk about spoilt for choice.
Some people have all the luck smile

Think I may have first looks on the Tuscan Turbo setup next Monday... and possibly first time my "car fleet" will be together...

I know our Russian gets blamed for shutting the doors but I suggest he bought a pup with the way things had been run prior to his purchase. I don't have rose tinted glasses that some do regarding TVR, I have frosty ones. Frustration that such rare special cars seemed to be used and abused or where products of smoke and mirrors.

I don't think there's any doubt that P Wheeler did a job on him, but due diligence on the ruski boys part might have stopped that from happening ..... whatever happened its a crying shame it came to nothing.

Nick, you really do need to put in a lot more research. Given a shell, a chassis, and some suspension the figure of 100K quoted earlier by Gazzab would still be a starting point. You obviously have no idea what goes into a speed 12.
He's always researching, but what's the point in researching if:

A. he doesn't know where it is, and

B. Doesn't know exactly WHAT it is.

He needs to know what he's dealing with before he can draw up a plan.

As an aside, if the motorshow car does exist, what is the person who has it planning on doing with it? And why did the Bluebird guys not do anything with it when they had it? Seems odd!

rolleyes You guys are hardly the most supportive bunch to a young engineer, who at the end of the day is the future of keeping cars like your's and mine on the road. Remember that.

There are other futures. I don't think people are concerned.
