Yeah it sucks there is no records or exact number of cars, unless you knew someone who worked on the project. I'm going to go out on a limb and say this was the prototype for the speed 12.

And the car now.

I wonder if this was functional at all, the windows are too dark and suggest that there isn't anything to see inside!

When you say now,

Do you mean there as we speak? What's stopping some one from grabbing it and bringing it back to life?

The car no longer exists. That is the car that was referred to as the 'Duck Pond' (due to the concave boot lid that filled with water) that was crushed after being left in the 'graveyard' it was a non-runner.

There are two purple racing Speed12s in this pic if I'm not mistaken... one with the roof scoop, one without, and neither current location known..... frown
The car on the right with the stickers is THE race car, the car on the left is the showcar

As shown above by the pictures posted of the car at Oulton the airscoop isn't particularily significant other than being a time indicator for the picture as it's just a development. Once they discovered the heat from the V12 was frying the drivers and was necessary to stop them being reduced to melted blobs, as the showcar wasn't a runner it didn't need the scoop.

And we're still no nearer to knowing where they are or if they'll ever see daylight again... cry

Fingers crossed they will! Graham's rebuild goes to show that almost anything is possible with the right knowledge (and a few pennies!).

I'm sure the Bluebird team wouldn't mind me showing the pic of the Cerb that was in their workshop. Moved on a long time ago, as referenced in my previous post...

Why was nobody told of this? And where is it now? It cannot be allowed to go to waste, I mean LOOK at it! Imagine that in your rear view mirrors!

All the Cerbera Speed 12s are now accounted for, perhaps we should focus our efforts on tracking the two original Speed 12 shells down? Something could be made of them I'm sure.

Half the time things like this can't be tracked down because people don't want them to be found. A bit like Smolensky. I want to track him down to ask him some questions... But can he be found!!!!

Does he really live in North London? That's not as illusive as I was expecting.

I know there is am email address on the 'new' TVR website, but I can't imagine it's a direct contact to him. Suppose it's worth a try though!

He lives on the same road as a friend of a friend, I was tempted to knock on his house and ask if he has any future plans for Tvr, but was getting rushed to go on a track day

Im guessing he doesnt live in Nelson Mandella house and you may fail the gate camera entrance criteria which security will apply for him.

The original Speed 12 (non Cerbera) is at my house.
Stanley Kubrick helped me with that.
