Wow, the pics from Oulton Park are a blast from the past. I was there and watched it go round, it didn't do so bad for it's first outing mid pack maybe in the first race? When was it 94/95? It was 'swinny' who was running the team, sorry swinny's dog who was running the team with Colin and young Gav the apprentice and Mick (I think) the awesome mig/tig welder who hand fabricated the engine but impressed more by his wheelying skills on his Suzuki Bandit. They are in some of the images, I bet they don't look like that anymore - they will be wee smelling old farts - I hope your reading this XXX Nice door mirrors though.....
Swinny here,, WEE Smelling Old Farts!!!!
I look older but i dont smell of pish..
Looking at those pictures brings back memories, if you want to know anything ref the running gear, chassis coating etc etc just ask, it was A real attempt at something different to start with , that ended up having to fall in to line with the MSA rules>>

Morning Jon,
Still busy?
Just joined this, cant believe the old racers are still attracting interest!
Is there a list anywhere of where the old tuscan racers have ended up? Interested to know where Hales car ended up? as well as the others?

Have a read through here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?h=0&a...

There is a guy in the challenge who is actually building up a 'family tree' of all of the Tuscans built at present... I have one of the original 1989 cars (though not in 1989 spec... hehe)

The interest in the sp12 has never died off and some of the myths have only got bigger.
This car is in the same state it left the factory minus the pigs head though !

Hi

Well my bid was not the winning bid!

I think it's going to Germany but if it stays in this country we may see it again!

Whoever it is will need very deep pockets!!
I put some time into pricing a re-build and was scared by what i could price never mind the parts i knew not how to source or price yikes
Whoever has bought it i hope they do the car justice and don't just hide it away!
