About what?

If you mean the original Speed 12 it's still sitting in TrackVRoad's showroom unrestored.

Did it get bought? Who owns it? Will it ever be restored?

A lot of cloak and dagger posts on this thread. Does anyone actually know any of this?

No cloak and dagger.

It was bought by a customer of TrackvRoad, who doesn't wish to publicise himself. I understand he does intend to restore it at some point but at least, in the meantime, it's on view in their showroom rather than hidden away in a barn somewhere.

Aaah, so its an "investment" never intended to be used as intended then. If true, how sad.

If it's not we should get a consortium together and try to buy it. This thing should be alive and out and about.....

I think you'd be surprised at how much recommissioning that car would cost as it's little more than a chassis and shell.

I agree it would be nice to see it out again.

Being the *only* one it should imho only be restored with a proper Speed12 and I don't think there are viable ones around. (The one Dom has I understand isn't suitable for restoration and had been retired to display purposes long before TVR closed)

I know you are right. Would be great to see it out and about as it once was though.....

Could someone with the sufficient funds not make a new Speed 12 though? Or are there no blueprints for the design of the engine?

John Ravenscroft could build a new engine.

Playing Devil's Ad, wasn't he the chap who couldn't get it to be reliable though? It's quite a bit of money to build new ones and the original design didn't work brilliantly if I recall?

Whilst admiring this amazing array of cars, I couldn't help but notice a certain purple thing next to an F Type Project 7...

What's that showing it's arse in the corner behind this lovely Sagaris?
