Just a thought - Mayfly is good but the last time I went there, the beer was awful and it was heaving with people - had a beer in the pub in Wherwell (Just down the road)the other week instead, bloody good beer, the food looked good and the landlord was really friendly and the car park isnt a bad size.

Plus, there are lots of old houses for the engine sounds to bounce off and a bloody great hill next to the pub which makes for mucho welly of the right foot and loads of echo!!!!

Happy to go with the flow though.

Missed it by a week!!!! Only saw this post on Friday, gutted as Parisienne is a regular haunt of ours.

Was in there Saturday & spoke to Luke, Harry etc. They all enjoyed you guys turning up.

I'll be up for the next meet. We live in Dibden, work in Totton, so short notice not a problem.

Have a 4.2P Cerbie, lots of fun - used everday.

Saw a dark cerbie in Romsey on Saturday - C5RBY are you also local.

The cerbie is ours - Cerbera 4.5 Red Rose in Orient Blue pearlescent - and only two months old. Pictures are posted on our profile but under her original plate. The car is just magnificent and we are still running her in at 2,500 miles.

We live in Romsey

We have seen in Romsey a green Cerbie 4.2 from a distance and on Saturday a silver 4.2 but could not see the plate (due to danger of pedestrians not looking where they were going where the car was parked) Is yours one of these?

Julian (who started this thread) has threatened to post something for a meet in August - details to be agreed.

Best regards

Err just read this part of your quote, The green (Juniper Pearl) Cerbie is mine, Romsey is great for bouncing the sounds around.

Why??? The Lost Boys

Anyway, when we saw you in Romsey on Saturday, we were in Sarahs 330 Touring.

Ours is silver though, reg B8CPD.

It looks like there are a lot more local owners than anyone thought.

First of all we are a father and son combination and we jointly own and share the car (yes it does work and it is kept in my garage!!)

As we both post to Pistonheads we needed a joint name and Lost Boys seemed the best - out of Peter Pan adults who have never grown up - never never land - and then the 1987 vampire film of the same name - sleep all day - party all night - never grow old - never die - its fun to be a Cerbera owner. Anyway its better than Tweedledum and Tweedledee.

best regards

That's what we thought but weren't sure how you'd take it if we were wrong!!!

Looks like there are actually quite a lot of us. Also spotted 2 today... A purple Chim in Romsey town centre, + a purple Tuscan (H5 PBS) in Eastleigh. Should be able to fill La Parisienne next time!
As loads of us, maybe we should agree a date now, to give everyone loads of time, + then sort out the details at later date.
how about Mon 19th August. about 7pm?
cheers

Paul is away on 19th and so Monday 26th would be best for us.

We have not seen a purple Chim but without checking the Tuscan belongs to Paul Shrimpton (PBS) the Dorset RO and TVRCC RO co-ordinator.

The Cerbera is new and under warranty and Hawthorns will be doing the servicing. They did the 1,000 mile before we took the car to Le Mans and she went brilliantly considering she is being run in - maxed at 145 on the road to Cherbourg at 4500 revs - no problems in traffic and 90 degree temperature at Alencon.

We purchased our previous car a Chimaera 500 from Fernhursts and they carried out a 6,000 service which was excellent and she always went very very well.

Lets make it the 26th then.

mine is also a bit of a father/son arrangement. Dad pays for the servicing, in exchange for x miles, which certainly keeps the running costs right down. Seems to be a result for both!
