Stunning and just what I'm considering! Any thread on this please?
I've posted at various stages of the project, search engine should bring them up, they are usually titled " project" something or other.I will do a complete post at some stage.
If you are seriously considering undertaking a similar project feel free to Pm me and I'll gladly share any info I have gained.

Found them Darren thanks and a good read. Out of interest is the tam and Tuscan chassis the same? Lastly what is the main difference between the sag and Tuscan chassis?I will do a complete post at some stage.

I will bookmark this and get in touch as my thinking develops if I may
Good luck with the rest of the project
Ian,
I may very well be corrected here but I believe the Tamora and Tuscan chassis share the same suspension pick up points, the Sagaris chassis however is a different set up.
Someone on here has had a post running on the sag pick up points compared to the Tuscan.
I know of 3 Tuscan to sagaris conversions, the first I believe used wheel spacers to gain the track width, the second used a Sagaris chassis which used the original sag suspension.
That leaves mine, plastic man has designed (in partnership with AN other) a suspension set up that lowers the car, gives the correct track width, improves the turning circle and uprights the rear shocks.
Again, there are pics on here.
I personally wouldn't cut up a perfectly good TVR to carry out this particular conversion, best find a cosmetically damaged one and give it a new lease of life.

I think those pictures really show what a damn good looking car the Sagaris is...
Forget the finished product in some wacky colour... just look at the lines.... stunning... and even better as a targa...
I know new TVR aren't going to be making these, but if they were to produce a targa sag' I'd be hard pressed not to debt myself up to the eye-balls and get on the waiting list...

The combinations done to date are Tuscan donor car/Sagaris shell and Tam donor/Sagaris (or part Sagaris shell), not aware of any other combos.I will bookmark this and get in touch as my thinking develops if I may

Dave Hillis usually does them, so if you are interested, speak with him and
I'm sure he will be happy to discuss.
Oh, if you are interested, I have a few pics of conversion projects, but think
most of them are available on PH anyway. Some came from other sources, but mostly
the same sort of thing.

I saw this car when we were at the factory for Back Home the other week, but I obviously wasn't paying enough attention because I didn't spot that it was a targa! Pretty obvious now I know.
Are the Sag front/rear shell parts new castings/fabrications or is there a stockpile somewhere?
That's a pic I haven't seen, the parts are fabricated by plasticman (Dave Hillis) he takes moulds from original panels. Are the Sag front/rear shell parts new castings/fabrications or is there a stockpile somewhere?
It's worth baring in mind that he is able to supply panels for most of the TVR range and they are of a very high quality, as you probably saw ?
If you happen to have anymore pics of the car I'd be grateful if you could post them up.
Cheers
Darren

In case you are that keen, just noticed one for sale at a dealer for about £30k. Based on a Tuscan.Forget the finished product in some wacky colour... just look at the lines.... stunning... and even better as a targa...

I've not seen that car recently but I have been told that it requires work to bring it up to scratch. It was based on a Tuscan S but was fitted with a 3.6 at the request of the owner.

Not just yet! Only just got back into TVR ownership and enjoying the Tuscan a bit too much at the moment.Tempted to do my own conversion on it in a year or two maybe...
Or just build it back to be a brand new tuscan from the chassis up... choices choices... all very costly choices too!

If it is the candy red one you are talking about, then "requires work" is one way of putting it.It was based on a Tuscan S but was fitted with a 3.6 at the request of the owner.
A lot of work is another.
