TVR Mania - try looking at the TRV CC's site www.tvrcc.com/ look under national events, it's towards the bottom of the list

Thanks for the reply, however, I have yet to recieve my first magazine and therefore cannot get access to the members area! So could someone please tell me the date and time and a few details so that this new TVR owner can come along and join in the fun!

Cheers

James.

Hey bangers, in the same boat as you (ie without tickets....)
The event is Mania 2002, organised by the Cambridge wing of the TVRCC at Duxford airbase (near Cambridge unsurprisingly - I seem to remember its close to one of the junctions of the M11).
Cost is £15 per head, for entry to the war museum and access to concourse / runway sprints / trade area etc etc, plus BBQ. Date is Saturday 10th August.
Only fly in the ointment is that the closing date for tickets was yesterday! I emailed the organiser (Andy Hutcheson, who appears as 'The Tank' on these pages) this morning asking if any late tickets might be available, though I suspect that to make his life bearable he might have to be a bit firm about his deadlines.
Fingers crossed!!
M

Thanks!

I'm not far from Duxford and I'm sure we will be able to get in by just turning up as a regular punter. Not sure about the TVR bit though.

Yes, ticket sales are closed now but I guess as someone said you could always get in to the Air Museum as Joe Public and just happen to saunter towards the TVRs. You'll need to take your own food though.

Simple one and Bangers.

Ticket sales are not closed. The BBQ and 'Sprinting' are but the rest of the event is still open!
Price is still the same! TVR Delaers are paying for the BBQ and the sprinting was a free B!

Ref Coming in the public car parks and walking up to the event end, this can be done, but you have to leave the Museum when the Museum closes at 6.00pm. The event goes on till 8.00 pm (Sprinting etc.) so you will miss some of the best of the event!!!!

So if you still want to come and have not yet applied for tickets you can but do it ASAP.

For those of you who have applied for tickets I repeat that I will be sending them out after the 1st August.

Regards

Mr Tank.

'Simple one and Bangers.'

Not simple, merely ignorant. Ignorant because this is the first time you've told anyone, AFAIK, about this 'dual entry' concept. When I circulated the event details to Suffolk region - to try to whip up more ticket sales for you - you told me it was wrong and that I should correct it. You specifically said sales were closed last week. Sorry and all that, but I can only pass on what I'm told, now can't I?
