Well, pretty much all set to go.
Geo done and engine has the all new "lower" horsepower cam..........
Ah well, more winter work.
let's hope that the weather won't be too bad although I usually enjoy a wet day if it's consistent.
It all goes Pete Tong when you are looking for dry patches amongst wet and are pushing on!

Though finding the wet patch seems to be the story of my life....
....as anyone who was at Snetterton in February will remember...

Made it home without being sick. Filled up on drugs and going to snooze. See if I can shake off this virus. Good to meet up with everyone today. Shame the weather reflected my state of health.
Was certainly a day for smooth progressive driving rather than press on!
It was good to meet up with people today, shame about the weather then I get a phone call about a large contract I priced so had to leaveWas certainly a day for smooth progressive driving rather than press on!

If you want I will take you for a drive in my T350 in the new year when it comes back from the body shop then you will know why I love the 4.5

Good to finally meet up with you, maybe catch up at a trackday next year
What rubbish weather!
What should have been a great day on a great little track turned out to be a great chatting day consuming vast quantities of tea, coffee and bacon rolls etc.
Good to meet old faces and some new. We chewed the fat and waltzed around the track painfully.
This was the most slippery track I've ever driven on.
Ah well, roll on the next!

Nice to meet you all today.
Just a shame it was quite so slippy but enjoyed it nevertheless. Also went home after lunch and I was pretty sure my luck was about to run out !!
Hopefully see a lot of you for TITT12 !
Smart move Phil - it was doing just one more sprint run late afternoon when already too tired that cost me my fibreglass and paint repairs..... Just a shame it was quite so slippy but enjoyed it nevertheless. Also went home after lunch and I was pretty sure my luck was about to run out !!

Glad to see somebody had a car on the right tyres, and you were brave going around that quickly - look forward to seeing you on a dry track come the Spring.
I too found it was like driving on ice. Just couldn't get the car to turn in, couldn't get any heat into the tyres, so was sliding around at 30 mph.....and only avoided a spin because at 20 mph coming out of Druids, I had about 15 minutes to catch it and stop.
It's the first track day I have lost in two years and about 20 track days, so no complaints here. Great day chatting and shivering.
Shame about the weather at Brands, I am not sure what was up with the surface, it was like an ice rink! I only ended up doing 21 laps
I also have no idea what was going on with the noise testing. Mine was measured at 108dB without cans and 94dB with
Good to catch up with you all, still a good day despite the weather. Here is a video from Grief cam showing how slippery it was out there.

Good to meet you as well, I was in the T350
As regards to the sound test I did not even get on track with my Griff earlier this year and it is 105Db on my app, I watched the guy carry out the noise test on the car in front of me and he shoved the mic right up the exhaust , when he failed mine I pointed out that a noise test should be 1m away and at 45 degree angle to the exhaust and he basically told to go away its failed and that's that
Looked very slippery from the video, the Cerb was better but they have a longer wheel base so they don,t slide around as much

Good to meet you Gary, that is a lovely T350. Shame about the weather, it is normally great fun when we get all the Tivs out on track at the same time.
Yeah weird about the noise test, something must be wrong there as the cans do not take off 14dB! Just as well I had my bolt on silencers with me.
Yes I think you were wise Colin, I went out on track only so I could get my monies worth, to be honest it was not an enjoyable experience, my ham fisted driving and a wet track is not a good combination and the car was all over the place. I decided to call it a day when I got lapped by a Golf and shortly after overtaken by a Mondeo estate!
Yes I heard the same story Anthony, it would explain why it was so slippery, I was driving faster on the way home than on the track and the car felt fine.

Hi Graham, good to meet you too. I look forward to seeing the 5.3 out on track, I bet she is quick in the dry!
You don't really get much engine note from that video as I was tickling the throttle all the way round, I don't think I even got close to half throttle! This video from Snett earlier in the year is better for exhaust note...

This one is with the cam at the front which picks up a nice bit of induction noise, excuse the poor driving...
