I'm sure if Morgan can survive there is still a place for TVR to have a go at it.
If I remember correctly, Germany was one of their biggest markets...go figure that one...
Morgan offer something traditional and individual, and gentlemanly. I just hope the "new TVR" is equally individual, utterly insane, and absolutely nothing like the other fridges currently out there.
From what I can gather, the new TVR owners want to stick to the original ethos, so here's hoping!
Morgan is completely different from TVR. It has a niche that it has built up over more than a century of continuous production and it has hardly wavered from it's original concepts. It has a hugely loyal following amongst a certain well heeled group that are different from the people who bought TVR's and it has a following in the USA.

Someone earlier mentioned the Noble M600. Does anyone know how many have they delivered?

Yeah, agree with what you say. Not suggesting that TVR are (or should that be were..) the same level of company and history of Morgan, but I wish them well in finding a niche that works for the "new TVR" - as everyone has said, it's a monumental task to restart a company, let alone a car company with no existing production or car. But lets not put them down yet, even if they are in the deep end of the pool with the sharks.

13 Griffs since 2005? Are these European or US cars being registered in the UK, either 60's or 90/00's Griffs? FFG
As Adrian said it's probably the 'original' Griffs; AIUI it's the perversion of historic racing whereby a new car is built roughly following the design of the original but with uprated engine, suspension etc. Look how many TVRs compete at the historic races at Spa. It's getting hard to find a historic race where a historic car is competitive now.
My 1997 griff was first registered in the UK in 2014 as it was built for Japan originally. Been given an age correct r plate, so whether it would appear under 2014 or 1997 on that site I'm not sure.

The market is UK and the far east,China and Taiwan I believe. Difficult to find out the exact numbers as they're cagey but they're doing well enough to be introducing a convertible. It appears they've been selling about 12 a year which isn't a bad number for a car of that cost and niche.

I thought the Alfa 4C was quite big for a small 2-seater, isn't also as wide as a Range Rover? not very British B-Road friendly..
Not really, the wheelbase is 1.7" bigger than a mk1 Tuscan & is 2" wider, which I don't think is that big considering the Tuscan is quite a small car by all accounts...

Cosworth. That's a name that fits the same sort of brand ethos as TVR. And who can fault Gordon Murray's credentials.

They said competitively priced and very competitive in the market in the press release........to me that sounds like Porsche Cayman money and a Cayman S is only about 50-55K ish with some toys

This could be awesome if it's pitched around there........I can dream right lol
