Whats the possibilty of an annual
london to brighton run.All the other car clubs offer one i.e.LANDROVER OWNERS CLUB, JAGUAR DRIVERS CLUB,in conjunction with there host magazines, why cant the T.V.R club do the same im sure there would be huge support for an event. The thought of madeira drive throbbing to the sound of a V8 bassline stirs the imagination.(LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN).

Sounds perfect! Zero cameras from Water Palace till just after the gas station as you enter the town.

The bikers pee on everyone on the way down to thier sea-front meets. Nice sweeping roads and rarely any spoilers in blue.

Melted the brakes last time I went for a sprint to Brighton. Everyone moving along at around 125mph no problems. Someone ahead wouldn't move over and the guy behind was all over him. TO THE DISBELIEF OF EVERYONE, the slow driver slammed on the brakes and the guy behind tagged him lightly. The slow car proceeded to SLOW DOWN AND STOP IN THE FAST LANE!!!!!! THEN (and this is the killer) he got out to argue with the guy who was trying to get by(STILL IN THE FAST LANE). I think you can imagine the chaos of 15 or so cars desperately trying to shake 125mph and swing into the middle lane. What a W***er! If someone is going faster (even if it's too fast) MOVE OVER!

Great idea, but not so good if you live north of Watford gap! It means booking accommodation for the night etc. Still, it would be fun!!

gr8 idea though not sure my T4 could keep up with a steady 125mph TVR !!! - I am assuming that non TVR (but TVR CC members) owners can tag along?? On the way to Duxford on the A505 managed to keep pace with a sedately driven Camel Yellow Chimaera up to 105mph then after a not so sedate bellow he disappeared !! was only about 20 cars behind when I got to Duxford (think the traffic helped my cause some what !!!)

Im up for that idea, maybe even try to get Madeira Drive (I think its called that), cordoned off for Tivvers only. Its good enough for speed trials, so should be good enough for us.

That can be done. I did a London to Brighton (Crystal Palace to Madeira Drive) run with the Jag club a couple of years ago. A nice cross country route with tulip diagrams, and even a stop at a pub, and then the whole of Madeira drive closed off for our parking.

I regularly do the London to Brighton mini run, they have about 2000 car attend plus more tag along and park on the road, the police are very helpful and medira drive is closed to all cars except the ones on the run. With the mini its about £15 for a ticket that includes a run plaque, t-shirt and windscreen sticker. It would certainly be a great sight to get them all lined up along the front.

A great idea and a superb venue. Count me in. I'm based in East Sussex, so I'll go round the long way in order to make a day of it!

Does anyone know who the area organiser for the east sussex region is,The more support we get the easier it is to organise something.I was thinking of something within the next month or so to see if its viable to hold annually

Definitely up for it! I don't know whether my ageing Tasmin 280 will quite manage 125mph though.. can possibly put someone up in London for a night (nubbin..)

Love the idea. Sooner the better for me as I've got no roof or windows - we might stand a chance of getting a sunny day! If you have trouble mustering official TVRCC support in time could this one be done as a PH meet?
