T.V.R .LONDON TO BRIGHTON RUN

Count me in. Unfortunately I missed the Duxford thing as I was in Detroit for The Woodward Dream Cruise - 30,000 cars and over 1 million spectators on 20 miles of public road!! Didn't PH cover the story?? Sadly, no TVR's. Mine probably would have overheated!

Anyway, i'm up for the Brighton run.

Hi - I do exist - really & did drop an email reply last Saturday to I presume 'Blue Thunder'. I like the idea of a L-B run, TVRs by the beach! With my TVRCC hat on & to ensure it's done properly with support of the Club, etc. we'd really be looking at next year (boo hiss I hear you say). It will also take a bit of effort to organise (book out) Madeira Drive (MD), etc. with Brighton Council, as it's a very popular venue. I've been trying to get hold of someone to get info! To give you an idea of MD's popularity:

Sun 15/9 Ace Café Reunion Motor Cycle Run
Sat 21/9 999 Emergency Services Day
Sun 29/9 London to Brighton Green Rally
Sat 5/10 VW Classic Run
Sun 6/10 South London & Surrey Land Rover Club
Sun 13/10 Historic Military Vehicle rally
Sun 3/11 London to Brighton Veteran Car Run

Therefore, I'd agree with someone's suggestion of an 'unofficial' event for this year. If you want to come to the Speed Trials, great & some of the ES Region will be there. Don't expect to be able to park on MD though, or in fact anywhere near unless you're down here early. Parking & city centre roads in Brighton are a bit of a challenge! I really would love to have a TVR event in Brighton & will give it some more thought (with my Region) for next year. In meantime if some of you do plan to come to the Speed Trials I will probably be around. Andy
