No we don't. Neither Roop or myself have TVRs so never bothered.

I keep trying to get Dad's old cars off him but no luck so far.

We probably will get to one at some point.

Although Roop used to go to some in London in Cheeky, his Cinquecento.

We probably will go to one at some point. I presume they are every month..?

Rivergirl, how big is your German Shepherd? My male one is a bit large for a parcel shelf, he weighs in at 42kg (92lbs or 6st 8lbs) and is 72cm (28.3") at the shoulder! He travels in the back of my 4wd with the pair of female golden retrievers I also have. I have put a cargo net between me and them!

Can you tell me if it's possible to fit a dog and the missus in a TVR Chimaera ?

I think so... never been before .. tonight will be my first.. Martvr has given me some details of the Venue etc:

"it's called The Hunters. I assume you know where that is
but if not just ask. About 20:00 is a reasonable time to turn up. David, the
RO is just back from a bit of an illness and is gradually picking up the
reins again. At times it seems like it needs a bit of a push to get things
going but we've got a list of things lined up even if most of them are 'to
be arranged' - such as:
Large screen tellythingy set up at Prescott (hill climb venue) for the
Italian GP and a barbie I think as well.
Treasure hunt but I think really just an excuse for a drive over some good
roads.
Camping, supposed to be this month and nothing arranged yet but maybe
tomorrow.
Access to an old airfield for a hoon around - sometime?????
Hill climbs at Prescott
IMechE lecture on the Speed 12 given by TVR themselves, forget the blokes
name at the moment.
Go Karts, slot cars etc.

You would be very welcome to come along and join in and talk cars (or
probably any subject you like but you'll get more of a response if it is
vaguely related to TVRs, spares, servicing, trackdays ........ you name it)."

I used to have a Doberman (sadly deceased now) .... You may want to consider some kind of restraint, possibly anchored to the rear bulkhead somewhere.

Trust you didn't find out the hard way........(!)

No, she died of natural causes at a ripe old age. She was 8 stone (a big dobie), so if I had found out the hard way I doubt the realization would have lasted more than a few milliseconds!

She used to start off on the parcel shelf, then creep forwards until on a long trip her nose would be pressed up against the vents at the front. Many a time I have been thankful of the V8 flexibility as I vainly attempted a gearchange with her nose!

kevinday,

She's 23kg, and 24" at the shoulder. She nicely fits the Standard for female GSD's. She looks great sitting in the passenger seat (very cool dog) but prefers to rest on the parcel shelf. I have just bought a proper dog car harness, and will try it out later today

Have dog and TVR, will travel

No horse box, hence no tow bar required. I have always worked other people's horses...cheaper that way!
...and for filthy, muddy dogs, and rain for that matter, I have the Golf

Hey RiverGirrl, if you're going to Bishops Cleeve you're only half an hour from me! What time of day are you jaunting?

Well, all you Cheltenham people ... be sure to wave

I lived in Cheltenham for 20-odd years before I moved over to Hampshire in 1999.
My parents and sister still do and Cosmic & I were only down there last weekend.

Unfortunately we had no time in hand to meet up with the Cheltenham PistonHead Massive , but maybe another time.
