Idle musing. What does it cost to design a car like this, start a factory and production line and set up a network of dealers and maintenance programs etc? Basically, how much do you need up front before you can start selling cars and generating income?

I think there was an amount of 30 Mio GBP over 5 years stated somewhere. Not sure that this is the amount you need until you have a car that can be sold though. Depends wildly on the actual plan, sales projection, etc. and the involved investments needed.

Not exactly an exact figure, there was a lad who sold his oil related company in Aberdeen a good number of years ago (15 or so) for at the time a reputed £100m.
Went on to build the Ascari and has race track I believe in Spain.
