Since the first TVR Rebirth photos from Autocar I fell in love with the side view (especially the rear) of the car. But now it looks different under wraps. Design taste is different. But I hope for the the first real release of the car. And the most important thing is that tvr will come back on the road and will shuffle the cards of Sportscar new.
Apologie my English redcard

Has anyone seen this week autocar article and rendering about the new car.
If the real car looks anything like the picture I'm joining the waiting list.

Are TVR feeding them these new renders or are they mocking them up themselves?

Edit: I'll pop in Smiths at lunch and see if they've got this issue in.

That is an "Autocar Image", made by their own artist based on what has been revealed so far. Autocar Images are sometimes very close, sometimes comically wrong.

I think it is pretty close, but based on TVR's own reveals, I think Autocar have got the shape of the windscreen and roof wrong. The top of the windscreen should be less curved, and the roof top double bulge more pronounced.

Looks quite out in terms of proportion to me. The over enlarged wheels don't help either.

There is a far longer bonnet to cab ratio if the wrapped buck is to be believed. Also, there is a wider upper haunch surface at the rear.

I think Autocar has tried to hard to make it look like a kind of updated T350 when it looks longer and less squat in my eyes. Which may be wrong, being old and all that.

They'd nailed the cover to the floor.

Just had a quick flick through Autocar at the shop, there's only that one rendered image inside, then the rest are photos from the show.

Write-up is pretty much what we know already over a couple of pages.

I suppose they had to acknowledge the motor show display with an article, but for now there's nothing new to report on smile

I would be very disappointed if that render was accurate, looks poor. Much preferred the recent update to the original image (minus the horrific wheels they had at one point). Not that I'm a player in buying in to new TVR as I'd hoped, but still very interested and hopeful it'll be great. When I couldn't get some deposit related questions answered I decided to go elsewhere.

Out of interest what was the wrong answer with regards to the deposit question that made you go elsewhere?

'Do I get it back if the car doesn't materialise?'

Actually that's a point I've been wondering, can any depositors educate on how this has been handled, are you guaranteed a return of deposit if you decide to pull out, or from a legal standpoint if the worst was to happen and the car didn't materialise?

If they fall into administration you won't.. You'll be the last of the food chain of creditors.

I guess if everything is done via Visa they might pursue it

It's all positive so far. Here's a picture without the silver cover, from twitter.

I can't wait to see it in the flesh. Evolution of T350/T440/Typhon as I hoped.

F-Type Jag under that cover by the looks of it! ;-)

In TVR terms I'd agree, but in modern day terms I'd say it was compact. Have you parked your Griffith next to a new 'Mini' recently.....? loser

All modern cars suffer from the same obesity 'epidemic' that the population apprently do.. wink

From what I remember deposits weren’t being protected in any sort of ESCROW account, people were told if they wanted protection to place the deposit on a credit card. Hence, if the company doesn’t deliver then deposit holders will be last of the line to be paid out.

I still don't understand the fuss about this car. Surely it has nothing to with the TVR we all loved? What we have is a car designed & build by a new and untested company who paid some money to be able to badge their product as TVR.
