The only day I could have made was the 25th...and I got the 25th
Flights booked for me and the missus, and pitching up in a rental Corsa from the airport.
It would have been great to be there on the first 'reveal' day, as I'm sure the hints/descriptions will be rife after that and will kind of spoil the surprise...but it had to be the 25th, so happy I got the slot I wanted.
I hope you are going to post pics of the rental Corsa on here to whet everone's appetite! Flights booked for me and the missus, and pitching up in a rental Corsa from the airport.

Chilli,
Putting both parents in a care home for a couple of years would almost certainly wipe out the entire inheritance. At least the way your Dad is spending wisely, you will finish up with a lovely Honda CRX or whatever to pedal about in your dotage. And the smell of wee won't bother you at all, because you will also be incontinent by then.
Enjoy!

Probably easier/safer to put a deposit down (non committal at this stage) view the car, cash back or buy after the reveal.....HarryW said:

What a load of bull. Given current life expectancy you will be nearing retirement before both parents die. I am just 10 years away from retirement and my mother is still going strong.
I have had to earn every penny I have. My mother has some investments but we are happy if she spends it herself to enjoy her few remaining years. Why on earth do you think they have a right? I do intend to leave a reasonable amount to my children, but they should not expect to receive much, it makes for a lazy and selfish attitude because 'Mum and Dad will leave us enough money that we do not have to worry about a proper career'.
Chill out Kevin, I wasn't being serious....I have had to earn every penny I have. My mother has some investments but we are happy if she spends it herself to enjoy her few remaining years. Christ it's going to bad enough giving up the phones on entry, say things like that and we will all be down to our grundies going through scanners like a holiday maker trying to get into Florida.....
They weren't kidding about "the big reveal". Maybe not so big though, it'll probably be quite cold I've just heard that all prospective new TVR owners going to the "reveal" will be required to do so wearing only their underpants, apparently the management are paranoid about miniature cameras, phones etc being taken into the venue.

I've been lurking on this forum since putting down a deposit for the new TVR in Jan 2016. Growing up (and still living) round the corner from what was Gorners TVR in Wigan I fell in love with TVRs as a youth but unfortunately TVR went under before I could afford to buy one new. I've therefore jumped at the chance to place my deposit down on the new car and I am very excited to be on the very first viewing slot for the new car (18th March at 10am) so hence my first post I have high hopes that the new car will blow me away looks wise especially with Gordon Murray behind the design I'd personally be 100% sold if they put a Sagaris shell on the new car or at least have some very aggressive features similar to it
They need to get their skates on. The new mid engined corvette will be out in 18 months, and I'm worlds least interested person in American cars, but if they get this one right hand drive and over here I reckon it'll be a serious competitor to serious kit at a potentially reasonable price.

No problem, you can always try a cystoscopy camera in reverse! "I said be careful his bowtie is really a camera"

I could, of course, just pitch up in my kilt. Then there wouldn't be any underpants."I said be careful his bowtie is really a camera"

must be all this talk of cystoscopy cameras...

It's going to be like a school classroom sponsored silence after the event keeping schtum for how long before TVR go public ???
I think it's right that we respect LE's wishes. It is in the spirit of the deal for deposit-holders that we refrain from recording images, etc. I'm cool with that and I'd like to think that others would feel the same. Describing the car is OK I think. Am I alone on this?Gassing Station | General TVR Stuff & Gossip | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
