It's going to be like a school classroom sponsored silence after the event keeping schtum for how long before TVR go public ???
I think it's right that we respect LE's wishes. It is in the spirit of the deal for deposit-holders that we refrain from recording images, etc. I'm cool with that and I'd like to think that others would feel the same. Describing the car is OK I think. Am I alone on this?Snakes said:

I fully agree. It's the deal and it should be honored. I also find the thought of being part of a rather small group of people that will see it in advance pretty cool. I can already picture the bright grin on my face in dialogues along the lines of: "Yep, seen it. Sorry, can't tell" Apart from that, looking at pictures beforehand would totally ruin the live-experience.

I am sure there'll be public launch within a month or so. The deposit holder reveals are happening in March so I expect to see Motorsport talking about the car in early May. RichB said:

I think non deposit holders like myself will need to wait for the formal reveal. I hope.

I fully expect the car to be revealed to the media, in the next magazine to press after the customer reveal. I.e. Auto car and Evo have both done major, multiple page TVR retrospectives in the last couple of months. Was that random.. no of course not. !
Exactly. In fact, to further build momentum and push magazine sales, it wouldn't surprise me if a teaser is published mid March along the lines of 'previews to deposit holders and others (i.e. press and dealers) are being held over the next week, full details to follow next week'. Do we think this project has got to the press car test drive stage? I'd be surprised surely we would have seen some sly shots of disguised prototypes out racking up the miles if they were at that stage. I would have thought the deposit holders preview was still at the sign off styling stage?
Looking forward to it First slot . They have to be showing the car though given the cloak and dagger and I won't be making any decision till I sit in it and have a test drive. Big decision, big money for me, as it will involve me selling the Sagaris to fund it l, if it's epic. What an experience also seeing where it's been designed
There's been a 'mule' driving around for a while sorting out drive train issues etc but looking nothing like the real car will be.... I thnk they should be in a position to show a 95%-accurate 'this is what it will look like inside and out' car by now.
They said they have finished all the aero testing to finalise the main elements of the body shape and the aero 'package so it must be close ?

You'd like to think they wouldn't go to those lengths and that the group of fans who have voted with their wallets would respect their opportunity though. It would be sad if a TVR supporter couldn't, if only for the benefit of the others attending later reveals.

Why is that TVR enthusiasts are now trying to apply pressure on behalf of the company?I think non deposit holders like myself will need to wait for the formal reveal. I hope.
Its like you are all taking part in a game of LE's making. Why keep silent for a month, why not take photos.
Can someone please explain to me why all this keeping silent for a month till the autocar/press reveal is helping TVR in the slightest.
Its all like a teenager girls control fantasy. Its as depressing as going on the AstonMartin forum and having yet another poster make a quip about being 007 in their post. Its just not very adult.
I need to leave this thread and come back in a few months when sanity has returned, the car has been revealed and tested, and all this nonsense about special customers and secret reveals has been forgotten.

My guess is a few sneaked blurry photos being splashed all over the internet to hype things up before any official release are all part of TVRs marketing plan.
