Here's a guess Who's going to be the first one to test drive this rocket
If it's the top gear crew it should be free to view if it's the amazon crew its a subscription to view or will it be some unknown journalist?

Dear Les,
Can I just say that the drip feed is working. I cannot wait to see the car at Goodwood. Properly excited now. A shot of the rear would be a good next update...
wink

I keep having to remind myself - same power as an F430 but three blokes lighter. That is just mental. Apologies for the repeat but I thought all three sneak previews together would look good.

Agreed, glad I've got a Friday ticket. The TVR booth will be my first port of call, might even engage in a gentle jog to get there provided I'm not too burdened down with tweed.

Please don't think I'm being a troll. But I too would like too see how it pans out. Reason being I wasn't one to place a deposit down on something like that blind and not even knowing final cost.

My attention then switched to getting a cerbera S6 and investing in it forecasting a rise in all TVR prices.

This week my 4.5 anti knock SS update has been completed and final mapped I can only say if it were figures alone I have done exactly as intended as I honestly couldn't see a new car with "TVR DNA" then leaving a tuned Cerb for dead.

Talking of torque the F430 mentioned above @ over 1500kg has considerably less than what mine made and a weight of 1130kg?? And BHP/ton... I have a couple more than a Lambo Aventador with 427 vs 425 smile

My reason for this post was after the painful suspense and freezing many out the game doesn't stand still so I'm hoping the reveal is better than even koenigsegg could imagine added to performance that's going to need to be on a McLaren level (having GM on board will help that). It will also need to be a car that can run you to the shops for a pint of milk. Hope I'm not sounding to smug that's not the purpose but I just think some claims being made as spectacular are not... against the overall treatment of "potential" purchasers

I hope everyone at the reveal inc. all of Les and all of TVR have a great time. I will be clapping the new car loudly when I finally see it I'm sure but against the final price and what I've managed to do with a Cerbera (my dream car) the new car could fall into the "I wouldn't pay that much for that" category

No offence meant just my thoughts.

Interesting speculation that prices are about to increase across the marque; when Les' TVR comes out.

I think thats a tad optimistic. Looking back, did the value of the S cars increase when the Wedges came out?
Did the Wedges go up when the Griffith was revealled?
Did the price of Chimaera's go up when the Tuscan and T350 came out?
I suspect the answer is probably no (though happy to be proved wrong). smile

So I presume you've taken your 402 whp and added 15% transmission loss... which is 482 at the fly. Then derived your 427/ton.

Is that right?

They might on the basis the brand is officially back. There was a likewise downward trend in prices after the company went down in 2006. One would presume the reverse is true.

No my whp was 414 then used the calculator (Clio sport?) which also tallied up with Harry's LapTimer then derived to 427 (based on 1130)

Prices to go up would have to put a date on from when... just after the 2006 crash then they certainly will e.g. £10k for a cerbera well with a new car to bring the brand back at say £90k all the buzz being created well I can get the same "brand" that is still fast by today's standards and maybe not even that much slower for £20k... wow I can do loads with the change. Maybe that is my man maths? but even someone now buying for £20k has just paid 100% than the example buyer

And in all fairness it's not quite the same a new model release but literally the regeneration of a brand

You'll need something magical if you want one of these new cars to get near SRR anytime soon...

Don't you think that this your cars cars slower than my promise of a car is a little childish?

Ohhh no really.

I've been fooled. I would bite but I see it's you again M4tti cyber hater for fun. Not the 1st time you've tried with me but I'll call it a personality clash. Not sure who you'd be inciting as lying with figures?? I'm just reporting as is... why would SRR be the definitive?.. do the perhaps concur with a result you had wanted. My graph has been posted somewhere but as this is new TVR thread I'll leave it where it should be.

Your looking at 366/ton prob cos as it may make you feel better moan

Oh no.. I'd stop before you get really embarrassing. It's cringey. I think you need to go read some of the other dyno threads before coming over all matter of fact and tell me what you find.
