For those who don't like the new Griff there is a worthy alternative up for grabs:

What an absolute waste of an F1.. http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/cars/article-49...

As mentioned elsewhere, probably bought two and drove one, kept the other as cash in hand.Certainly will make a pile, although the figures banded about on some parts of PH are unrealistic. Gordon Murray just sold his BTW, and although he wasn't allowed to tell me for how much (clients request), I have a rough idea how much a delivery yellow one would be worth.
No comment BTW!

That's interesting. Did he say why he sold it?Certainly will make a pile, although the figures banded about on some parts of PH are unrealistic. This is partly related to TVR in that this follows on from the creation of the first (GMD) Griffith ?

GMD launches GM Automotive - for anyone who wants their own design GM car !

Not a particularly trustworthy source, especially if them forgetting the tamora and claiming the chimaera was the last convertible TVR is anything to go by.
Hm, hardly the latest news as these links below are pretty old, but it sure hasn't really been discussed:http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2017/9/11/A-Convertibl...

Convertible is not of interest to me, but the hardcore version might be. How will they get 600hp out of it ? Turbo ? Supercharge ? Recently seen (heard) the video of the Challenger SRT Demon and if that's the sound you get, i'm out. If i want to hear something like that, i'll go see my dentist.
But if not, could the 600hp be retrofitted to the LE ? Also, what material choice for the chassis would be planned ? Knowing this roadmap before finally finishing my order for the LE would certainly be appreciated.
The price of being an early adopter...
2.5 boxster - before 2.7 - before s
911 GT3 - before RS
AMV8 - before 12 cylinder
Vanquish - before S
Hundreds of examples...
We can't have it both ways - in most cases, the later models are improvements from what came before.
Only one offs or rare cars like F1, koennigsegg etc are as desirable and sufficiently different from what replaced them.
I relate the new griffith to an AMG GT Edition 1, yeah sure the standard one may not be as desirable, but the AMG GTR, arguably is much better and more collectable. For some though, the Edition 1 may be everything they want from a motor car - b horses p for courses.
So, you have a choice, buy now or wait for something better to come along.
I'm buying now because the window for internal combustion engines is closing fast, by the time TVR make something lighter/faster/better looking!.... it may include alternative propulsion!
Tough eh?

I'll reply as if this was in answer to my post. I'll buy now, too, no matter what. Also, you're spot on with your take on ic and it'll all roll over us way faster than we can imagine. We're just over the tipping point. I'd STILL like to see the roadmap before closing my order 2.5 boxster - before 2.7 - before s

The exhibition starts tonight IIRC - press night. (So I'm sure news will turn up here). I'm going on Monday, but I know of at least one other PH who will be there this weekend.http://oneformulagordonmurray.com/

I think the show is more about promoting his new car rather than one of his client's.
Yeah, wasn't expecting anything about TVR. Discussion has moved to thread from ph-headstory, btw. It's basically a redo of the TVR-reveal discussion Too slow, too light, too fancy, not enough seats, too Elise-like, not enough power, not electric, etc.... It's a fun read. It's not really competing with the TVR.
