I have to admit (although I seem to be in the minority) that the email did renew my enthusiasm and excitement a little.

We can't expect polished marketing from what is essentially a startup - they have bigger priorities I'm sure. Nevertheless, a few more pics/videos to keep the excitement and anticipation alive wouldn't go a amiss. I'm just glad to have heard something from them after a few months of deafly silence.

On-board video of it tearing around a track for xmas day please!!

Agreed! Maybe I'm just easily pleased.... I hope the "cool down clip" is just a tickler for another video clip in the New Year. Looking forward to what comes next in 2018.

Merry Christmas one and all beer

Reading the links above points towards one of 2 empty units on the Rassau Ind Estate in Ebbw Vale. One of them has just been de-listed from Rightmove by the agent apparently.
The unit at the south west corner is empty as is the white unit at the eastern end (the withdrawn one). All the other units look too small as the white unit is described as 183,00 sq ft. With Yuasa batteries across the road, not far to go for one of them.
I could be miles out....... rolleyes

No, it must be the right place. Les and the team were out celebrating with some Welsh government staff it seems.

That side exit exhaust does it no favours on the audio front, particularly when its on the other side.
F1 created a noise faux pas, seems like TVR are heading the same way.
I agree, it sounds like a race tuned MGB.
p.s. Monkeylegend the exhaust exits on both sides of the car which is why you're only hearing a four not a V8.

I think the "Rave" was in this building (comparison between Google Maps and phone footage)

Luckily, it was well away from what I believe is to be the new TVR factory (according to the image in Les's email, and the images at the very beginning of the previous thread on the new car)

The interesting thing I took from that email is that the Welsh govt (London tax payer;)) is paying for the factory. I wonder if they will be paying salaries also?

Thought it sounded strange, a bit like a Harley on 4 wheels.

One thing you couldn't fault and in my opinion wouldn't want to change was the sound of the old V8 on full bore acceleration, or tickover come to that.

Yes, that is the unit that was recently withdrawn on Rightmove.

The rest is my warped sense of humour wink

I hope that wasn't full throttle. Looks like 35-80mph in 5s (0:03 to 0:08 in the video).
And if it wasn't full throttle, what's the point in showing off the clip (for the sound? If so, not impressed tbh)

edit: those speeds are a complete guess of course, but a full throttle blast in the cerbera (5 speed) seems to get through 2nd a lot faster than that smile

Yep, the BBC report says it's the Techboard factory also.

That's the first photograph I've seen of the car in an everyday type surrounding.

I like it (from that angle at least)

If you want a good idea of what it will sound like on full beans then watch this clip of the AMG GT3. V8 with side exit exhausts....!

remember also that the TVR released clip was probably recorded on someone smart phone so sound quality wont be all that.

Just seen the videos and stills on Facebook from some shareholders who were invited for a test drive, looks much better in the flesh!

I doubt it will, as the Coyote has a different firing order to the latest merc V8’s. That’s whats giving the TVR it’s odd ball sound, as there is no joining of the exhaust pulses across banks.
