Eye of the beholder..
Personally the new car makes the old cars look very old and dated. And I particularly like the front end
It certainly looks very different from those beautiful older TVRs . (Even the cerebra) Personally the new car makes the old cars look very old and dated. And I particularly like the front end
Looking at it is like when the sound is out of sync on your tv, or when you’re talking to someone that is really cross eyed, all the bits are there, but you instinctively feel something is amiss and it might make you feel uncomfortable.
Here's something radical; how about, bear with me on this, if, and I mean, if, you don't like the styling... don't buy one.
Styling is never going to suit everyone. One car is ever going to suit everyone. Doesn't mean its not good. You don't like the way it looks; fine. How about reserving judgement on the car until someone drives one? Or you see one with a number plate?
Can we please move on from the look?!
Any more footage leaked out on it moving? Quite keen to hear how the production version will sound given the footage to date has been of the show car.

Difficult to move on from how something looks when that’s all you have at the moment?
As for if you don’t like it don’t buy it - always thought that’s the way things were with buyers. Maybe the deposit holders believe they have a say in what they’re buying as “investors”
Exactly, what else can people comment on? It’s a thread about a new TVR and we’re not allowed to comment on what it looks like? I think what he means is he only wants to read positive comments about it.
If people don’t like the negative comments, presumably they could just not read the thread?
Had a good look at it today. The wrap is imbossed in a few places, front end, behind rear wheel arches etc... sort of distracts from the appearance of the car.
Looks better in the reflex purple than the red, although it is the first time I have seen it in the flesh. Like the overall design and proportions, not sure about the front lights, but I am sure they could grow on me. I didn’t like the Sag when it first came out, love it to bits now.

Obviously surely not previewing before posting.
Getting more and more frustrated with communication from TVR.
Have a deposit down and yet unable to see the car in the flesh, sent a mail to a TVR pre Christmas asking of any planned showings.
They said they would let people know, maybe missed the mail to deposit holders but was totally unaware they were showing this weekend in Birmingham.
Had the chance of traveling down to the show this weekend but didn’t take it up, dam.
Just venting.......but a little bit if of effort on PR from TVR wouldn’t go amiss, not difficult to send out a block mail.
Granted they are busy but they are going to be a lot busier once builds start and I do wonder how they are going to manage the business side with real customers.
I love the car but there is a big but.

Does everyone walk around seeing faces on cars? I'm fairly sure I gave up by the time I was 7.
Absolutely right. So when a grown man sees a gurning face on a car it’s worth noting that the car has a gurning face. I think the interior is great, the back is good and the design under the skin phenomenal but the grill suffers from the same issue as 90s Lotuses and the V12 Ferraris of that era. It doesn’t have a purposeful front look.
