I guess if they put the dealerships next door to junior schools in Beverly Hills, they’ll get a never ending stream of buyers who will nag the parents for on hehe

If you are all willing to club together to buy me the new TVR, I'm more than happy to buy a Cars sun shade so that you can all take the urine.

Been watching The Grand Tour on Amazon and on conversation street they show pics of coming soon new cars and discuss. So far they have shown the new Aston Vantage, new Lambo, new Z4 and Supra. As for the new TVR Griffith.....absolutely nothing. Maybe todays episode?

Come on TVR, what are your PR people doing? Have you contacted Grand Tour and they are ignoring the car or have you not bothered?

Many people I know think TVR went bust in the last decade and are no more.

The new Supra will be priced around £50k for the basic one (4 versions I believe) I think they said?
Even this thread has all but died a death as there is little anyone can add it seems. I admire all of you who have paid their deposit and want to buy/support the new car. But at least another year to go before you can get one?

Hope we get a new email update soon to re-ignite some excitement in this thread. Wonder if they’ll take it up the hill at goodwood for this year. We still haven’t seen any real driving footage besides the crappy drive-by in the email update. Come on tvr gods (if you’re listening), give us something to talk about.

Simple to do when the engine is mid or rear mounted. Not so when engine is at the front!
I think my front engined FF has a flat floor and a rear exhaust - and that is a long car - so it does seem to be possible. Of course I might be wrong, in which case ignore my statement

It’s quite a big car though so I imagine that packaging becomes a little easier? Plus, Ferrari have quite a bit more money to throw at solutions and a client base very happy to pay for it. The TVR is quite a small car and I would guess that the side exhaust solution is significantly easier to engineer and an awful lot cheaper than trying to route a performance exhaust system all the way along the car and to shield it etc?

Also, not many cars have side exhausts, it's very 'TVR' and gives the car character and something to separate it from the other mainstream sports cars.

I’m not so sure.. the current exhaust configuration from the footage we’ve seen sounds crap. Largely due to taking a lazy engine and it’s firing order seperated by bank.

The whole flat bottom thing is kind of irrelevant on the road below about 70. I wish people would give up on it. A GTR has a semi flat underbody.. ithe GTR will be faster than this.

We haven't really heard it yet. All the recordings were done with sub-par equipment. A while ago there was discussion about a facebook page on which videos were posted. Don't know the link anymore, but it had 4 videos on and they had by far the best sound of the engine so far. And it sounded pretty menacing and v8-ish.

Also, i guess the single-bank exhausts will always sound better in real-life than on a recording (especially ones taken with a cheap, single-location mic). Then i think the sound will still change as there sure will be adjustments for sound-regulatory issues and cat-converters. I cannot imagine that they have already finalized these aspects.

I really like the side-exhausts.

ps: i don't have the link anymore, it was posted here before, but the owner of the page requested the links to be removed, if i understand correctly.

Has anyone seen Harry Gravitt drawing of a revised front end.
TUSCAN like.
It looks the part if you ask me, instantly recognisable and dare I say it more racy looking.
