Email also included this photo. Looks like it was taken at an airfield and with the blue tape on the car I assume they were doing some top speed runs? Need to make sure it hits that 200 mph eh!

Looks like dunsfold again with the sea hawk in the background but the tape isn’t in exactly the same place?
The Taffoyota testing at dunsfold last year with similar tape,

The Taffoyota testing at dunsfold last year with similar tape,
The leaves on the trees suggests it was last Summer.
Car looks pretty ordinary unfortunately and just seems to lack curves, drama and aggression and stance. I loved my Griff for its purity of line and the T cars for the compound curves and aggressive details. Shame it's as big as it is too - Cerb ish dimensions but without rear seats - why? An evolution of the T350/Sag would've been great. Still wish them all the best and hope a more racy version happens.

I've seen the new car in the flesh and think it looks brilliant. As mentioned lots of curves and lines that can't be seen in pictures, which somehow prevent you ever seeing the flat-faced guppy fish that appears in photos.
However- its disappointing to see people coming down so hard on the efforts of this uni student lad. The drawings still look modern and unique whilst carrying through unmistakeable TVR DNA that I wouldn't have thought could be translated to a new and modern design. In 2-dimensional form at least I would call them an improvement on the original, and I think the lad deserves huge credit for his work. As TVR fans we should be appreciating the clear respect he has given to the company design heritage.

I think you're spot on with your comments regarding the difference between seeing live and on photos. The pics take away the depth.However- its disappointing to see people coming down so hard on the efforts of this uni student lad. As far as the student is concerned, you're right as well. But a bit of mocking must be allowed (as prep for his later working life :-) ). While i don't agree that there is much improvement, it's always cool to see it being brainstormed into different directions. You either get new inspiration or confirmation of what works and what doesn't.
But you can't please everybody. Just skip through the new supra- and ferrari-threads here and you'll see that the pro-designers get a lot of flak as well.

Who else has got their free pass to the LMS in May...?

I am more excited about the special events though - I would looooooove a short drive to 'feel' the car.

Sorry i have tried really hard to be positive but seriously there is only one winner here looks wise surely. The Sag design is 15 years old yet somehow still looks younger. I don't get it, if I had 80k burning a hole in my pocket I would be straight down the Str8Six
or
Totally agree with you, I was considering placing a deposit on the NEW car - since it should have been a leap forward in Design and Technology, BUT I'm so glad that I did't.or
Luckily not everyone think's like me and has Faith in the Future of the TVR Brand. Perhaps I may change my mind when I see it on the road, for the first time.

The comparisons are a little unfair as the Griffith camera angle is purposefully straight on accentuating the front.or
As for buying the sag, you are buying into old technology. The car may look modern but underneath it is not that different from my chim. The new car however is completely different with a welcome new engine and up to date technology and is the one that I would buy.

I urge you to go see it for real at the LMS.
You will be impressed
