Well, over a week since the last post on here. Don't tell me the enthusiasm and loyalty for the new car has already dried up a year before you actually see one on the road? ears

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion, but fully support your right to express an opinion.

I have been too busy driving my daughters 1.2 micra while my daily has had a couple of things done to it.

What a hoot down country lanes!

I still look forward to hearing more news on the grief though. smile

Lol, I was hoping to provoke Spagbol into making one of his amusing replies together with yourself and Bullitt and others. Its good entertainment without the attitude you find in the General Gassing section. wink

Little to no news, not lack of enthusiasm !

But will be out for a while for holidays. Will be my first time with family in England. Guess it's safe, now that Germany is out of the Worldcup and England still in (well, let's see how far that one goes, maybe you even score a goal in penalty-shootouts wink I hear Lineker is revising his quotes already )

@spag: just for info, did you receive my reply or did it go to the junk-folder ?

Extrapolating from the time it takes to calibrate airbag and ABS, as stated by Les, this will be a lot more complex and expensive and simply not feasible for small numbers.
Just saw this video https://youtu.be/7u6nHM3sa8k around 1'35 it's quite funny (ok the guy who drives on a track with only one hand it's already funny).
Apparently GM have some difficulties to calibrate airbags. There is also a video where they deploy in a straight line just because the guy has put a very loud exhaust!
It's a proof that this job it's not so easy specially on a car which can be driven hard on tracks.

Your link is not working, you need a space between the 'k' and before the comma.

Guys right arm is paralyzed, that's why he's going one-armed. Does he hit the grass ? Should not go off, but front-airbags would have been way worse.

Thanks, I have edited the link. You're right for the paralyzed arm, I have not watch entirely the video, my bad.
For sure, front airbags would have been way worse, this is also the case for the guy with the loud exhaust, he is on an open road when the side bags are exploding.

From Gordon Murray Design Facebook page:

"The @gordonmurraydesign team behind the TVR #Griffith #gmdteam #gordonmurraydesign #gordonmurray #tvr #istream "

pretty serious involvement. Top Gear mag, has an interview with Murray, where he says they are also designing the factory assembly processes.

Hmmm.... if they are still only in the design stage of the factory process, how likely is it they will actually produce a car by 2019? That's only 6 months away.

Technically it's between 6 and 18 months away, unless they've said they'll release the car on the 1st Jan?
