I know it’s been done a thousand times but I’ll be happy with changes to or an addition of a grill.. blatant copy of other grills but these change the gormless mouth for me
This is the first time that grille-modifications make it look better. Like the red one with silver grille !!DonkeyApple said:

That suddenly looks very stylish. Strange how such a simple change seems to have such a strong impact. Can someone do a black one please..????

What you clever 'puter able types conveniently forget is that you're putting a 2D addition into an existing 3D hole; it may improve that view, but what's it going to do to all the infinite other views?
Which ones ? Of the front ? The grille modification is the only mod that can realistically be implemented. Works from all angles. TwinKam said:

Agreed its hardly a 3D model but assuming the space is not completely necessary for air intake it does show there is a chance to improving the look without massive cost. You correct about angles, when you try something that simple from head on, low down, it doesn't make much difference. But some clever designer bloke could do something I'm sure..Now that looks nice, colour really suits the Griff.
To be fair, it's not ideal that the looks aren't an instant hit, but I can think of quite a few cars which I love now, but initially didn't have much time for.
I suppose that's all well and good for a used purchase, but not for TVR trying to re launch the new TVR!

Someone needs to buy the 3D data and do a proper modelling job

A year or more on and the clamouring about the aesthetics (or lack of) continues unabated... simply is not going away. And some great suggestions very cleverly done in these 300+ pages.
Against that context, could LE and co not perhaps gain some massive kudos by acknowledging they have a real problem and embracing this market research resource to improve the design. A bit like the legendary dog-tooth notch on the Chimaera's face, they could also harvest some very rare in contemporary times (and genuine) character to inform future folk-lore. Surely that's as priceless as it is free in the circumstances if a little pride can be suspended to allow it?

It depends who they’re asking, or indeed if they’re asking anyone.
There were worrying comments earlier about Les not being receptive to criticism from people who haven’t placed a deposit. That sounds like a recipe for failure.
Obviously if you’re just getting feedback from people who like the car enough to place a deposit you’re not going to get a particularly wide range of views.
Did they actually do much research on early designs? It sounds like research was tellIng everyone it’s “Gordon Murray designed” as though that’s meant to make everyone ignore the looks and think it’s amazing.
I’ve seen a few new TVR releases in here over the years, none have been met with the negativity that this new car has. That’s on a forum that started as a tvr forum.
So it’s not aimed at tvr fans anymore but then it’s in limbo. Not prestigious and established enough to tempt Porsche buyers and not wild enough looking for many tvr fans.
Are there other forums in here where posters are feeling the need to redesign and photoshop new Astons or Porsches or Jaguars etc?
