Perhaps there is a TVR Griffith Le E in the pipeline, the seam is where the vinyl roof will end!

Size is relative!?

Yes.....the grill / hole in the Chimp behind looks identical to the new Griff....????????????
Hmmm.... too much vino Spaggy Boy drink

Two points for the world's most enthusiastic TVR PR man.

1. There is no such thing as a 'Chimp' produced by TVR. rolleyes
2. The dark blue car is a real Griff. The light blue car behind the red one to which you refer is also a real Griff. Not a Chimaera!!!!!!! Oh dear o dear.

Well here is another that has pulled their deposit.

Why?

50% because of the lack of any projection of delivery date - a place in the queue really didn't help
40% because, on reflection after seeing the car in the flesh, it just doesn't look special enough, the front being the worst
10% because of communication to deposit holders, or rather lack of anything substantial

I will still be following progress with great interest and hope the new TVR company are successful though.

Fair enough, though i would have given them 4 weeks more time on points 1 and 3 as it costs you nothing. Now there's no way back if you change your mind. There is a big-news update announced for October and there's also some pro-video material to be released. All that doesn't help of course, if you don't like the car in the flesh.

Did they say anything when you pulled it ?

Les please.
Stop listening to a few TV R'slickers - do something about the front!
So many deposit holders are going to cancel if your car isn't as great as you and Gordy say.
If you make it stunning, it won't matter if it's not as good as a 911 or a Vantage or an R8 or a GTR etc. - you will sell every single one on its looks alone.
If you BUILD it, THEY will come.

Sort the front out, put on wider wheels and lower it - trust me - oh and another thing, please allow all the people that cancelled to retake their position in the queue - don't let them pay for your mistake.

Only saying the last bit because I don't want an early one with teething problems...

Try to remember what you wrote on the flip chart all those years ago...

TVR = LOOKS and NOISE
TVR > PORSCHE
TVR > CAR - TVR = RELIGION

Yes, they told me about the forthcoming updates and suggested I hang on until after those. But while the updates may well be interesting, from what they said I still wouldn't have a delivery date by the end of 2018. To be honest, 2020 is too late for me to want this car. Information on dates may firm up of course if they react to my, and possibly other, recent withdrawals.

Thx, so it was an informed decision. But i get you, 2020 is indeed a very, very long time and i really hope things will speed up soon.

Apologies.

Although in my defence, I wasn't referring to anybody here - more the sycophants Les is surrounded by.

I can't really let off steam at home, I already have a restraint order with the wife.

Sorry if my words offended smile

looks like it's already riding lower..as per BJ's video at Gatton...maybe softer compound / lower profile tyres..or maybe they've tigtened up the Nitrons..either way it "appears" lower. Maybe just an OI..??!!
Paint the fins underneath the lights and add a few slats in the mouth with the 'plate.
Nothing else req'd imo.

Behave you two... smile This car will be so much more dynamically engaging if it is not 'over-rubbered' (which surely equals good press reviews in the market sector).

Similarly with ride height - the TVR almost certainly won't have a lifting nose (for speed humps), so imagine seeing Clarskon doing a review and highlighting an issue by dragging the Griff's flat floor over a load of speed humps - cringe - would be embarrassing! They need to keep the design on the 'works in the real world' side of bonkers!

Expect cosmetic concerns can/will be tweaked in due course via aftermarket suppliers. You could fit liberty walk arches and stance it if that's your cup of tea. idea

I am not disagreeing with you, but at this price point, it needs to have kerb appeal.

Think about the gt86 and its subaru twin - if it had more rubber, bigger wheels, rode slightly lower - do you think not being as good as it could be, would have damaged sales or improved them?

The 911 r has skinnier tyres and is more desirable for it - but they are still damn wide!

Slightly wider rubber, slightly lower stance, in my opinion, will give the griff more presence.

By the way, I'm a gemballa guy!
