Are there any employees on the books?
In the accounts of TVR Manufacturing the last accounts were up to the 31st March 2018 which were posted on the 26th June 2018. The average number of employees including directors was 7. There are 5 directors and a company secretary.

7 eh? scratchchin ....... So that's 5 directors (feet up, not there very often, other business interests taking priority), company secretary... (also other interests, but has primary responsibility to confuse shareholders, fiddle books, and receive inflated annual bonus for confusing shareholders and, er, fiddling books..)... No 7 has to be tea-boy, or sweeper upper, or bird with huge thingy's appointed by the MD.... to do stuff.... ya know...... stuff...

I wonder what company cars they have scratchchin

I wonder where all the skilled highly competent work force will come from....

I wonder why I'm still posting here scratchchin (again)

Doesn’t really look like it’s the eu holding things up.

I’m not one to be commenting on the front as I think it’s fine and used up far too much of this thread.

This side redesign is utterly stunning though. Well done and Les take a serious note of this:

The side is linked to the front though. That’s the problem with the griff at the moment, it looks like the front and sides and back have all been designed by different people and lacks cohesion.
I too like the redesign, but, isn't there a piece of legislation stating that indicators need to be visible side on? I suspect your design wouldn't meet that reg? That said, good efforts!

Strangely, I do have a new lady friend... What I don't understand is, when friends ask me about her, and what she does for a living, I explain, somewhat innocently, that she's a professional carer.... she looks after older folk that have Alzheimer's or dementia... and they snigger in this strange kind of knowing superior way that really irritates me... fecking bar stewards.... sooo rude....

Anyway, I agree with previous posters, cricket is definitely better than snooker. This is a great thread, I love politics....

Just gone to Companies House for a search of Fiduciam Nominees Ltd. An application to have them struck off was posted yesterday, 11th December 2018.

What does this mean?

Sounds a bit strange?

Would usually be because of late filing of Accounts and/or Confirmation Statement.

Accounts were due 30 Sept 18, yet were only filed on 7 Dec. That may be why - the strike-off was already actioned before they filed the accounts. Keep an eye out for a day or so - would expect to see the strike-off action cancelled.

So the design team went from this

To this

They have been trying to drum up orders by taking the prototype to all kinds of motoring events, does anyone know if the order book has increased or decreased after all this activity? Great test to see if this has any legs.
Back in the day when TVR did the motor shows the orders came in on the day or soon after. You just wanted one. Not sure this is the case with the Happy Face Happy Valley Griff.

Surely this has to be as tedious and worn out as any delusional TVR dream could ever be? Even if this was ever produced things have move on massively since the Blackpool days? Could this thing even compete in todays plethora of supercars on a bang for your buck ratio like the old models?Who in the UK even cares these days about such cars? Sorry to say it but things have moved on.

Anyone won’t drive Audi, BMW or a French car, and has decent taste.

Decent taste never moved on its an aspirational thing

Manufacturers will be going this way, making use of their dealer stock just languishing on forecourts as electric vehicles and other ways to travel start increasing.

https://www.porschepassport.com/

The Venn overlap of people who are looking to buy a new car and enjoy driving is getting smaller and smaller every day.

There is room for a (heavily) revised TVR in MY life, but I would never discount other cars when signing on the dotted line.

If TVR are inflexible and what we see is what we get, there is no future for Les's business, most people are not brand wes, if Skoda made a RWD car that looked like an R8 roadster with a v8/10/12 engine and manual gearbox - I'd be booking a test drive.

Porsche Passport at $3000 per month seems pretty competitive with regular leasing options. Is this the trial of a new business model for Porsche where ownership is in essence optional?

I confess, I assumed that the sketch was an Autocar rendering or similar, not something created by / put out by TVR. But having seen it on the funders' website, I'm not so sure. What's the canonical provenance?
