I guess it still may not 100% look like the camo car, but the small group of journalists that have tried it seem to like it..

Looks like someone stuck a Veilside kit on a Mk4

Production spec images of the new supra are floating around - and it looks lame compared to the Griff...

Can everyone who said 'the new TVR needs to look like that' now eat their hats please.
Good luck with that laughlaughlaugh

They'll never do that. Far too easy to sit at a keyboard and be negative about stuff other people do..

I think we are straying off topic but that is only my opinion.
You are welcome,
in my opinion much better than having "Rolex" and "Taste" in one sentence.biggrin

Just checking in, over 400 pages eh, very good. Can we get to 10,000 posts?

So, sat in a Mercedes AMG GTS the other day. Fantastic looking car but cabin actually quite "cosy" and being a six footer I wasn't really able to have the seat as far back as I would like. Crossing it off the list sadly.

One car that looks very good value is the M2 Competition with the detuned M4 engine. Rave reviews and tuneable engine.

The two, as rightfully noted by the learned scribe, are wholly incompatible....

I've been on the order book for an M2 csl since 2016, a year or so ago they said it was canned and I consoled myself with the griffith - chances are I will have that before the griff now smile

The M2 competition is a great car, the thing for me is the interior, it's just not special enough - the csl will hopefully have great seats, a manual box and (what I really really want) a ducktail!

The AMG I feel is the perfect blend of beauty and aggression and although not an SLS which I think was more classical, it will age well.

Back to the griff though, there will definitely be an email from Les this month but I wonder if they will annoy us by just posting renders of the front grill and wheels on the website, rather than a MAX POWER cover car.

Toyota Supra, coming to a dealership near you soon.

TVR Griffith, might come to a dealership not very near you sometime in the next 2 years if you're lucky, once we get some
more money, and a factory, oh and some staff, and some more bits, and can meet the current legislative requirements.

But it could be out of date when you finally get one, and we are hoping it will be more reliable than the last one, but we haven't really been able to do that much development testing, because we only have 75% of the car available, and to be honest 2 years is pushing it a bit, so we will leave that to you.

You can see the problem here.

Looking at the Supra it would appear that like the TVR they have gone for a naff nose!

But you know it will have been developed thoroughly, will be available soon, will work straight out of the box, has the support of a big dealership network and manufacturer, and will probably tempt a lot of the wannabe new Griffith owners because it is a reality, not a current pipe dream.

As pessimistic as I am about the new Griff, it’s worth pointing out that the new Supra first broke cover in 2015 according to that article, and isn’t due until the middle of next year. And that’s with the might and resource of Toyota behind it. When did the Griff make its debut? Is it actually so far behind, taking everything into account?

Don’t try that on the watch thread they’ll be on you like a ten man tag team and then report you for not being on message.

It is way behind where TVR said it would be, and if Toyota have taken 3 years or so to bring the Supra to market.........it begs the question.
