Hockenheim?
Yes, but i was referring to the moment he was showing the engine-"bay" (link should start a few seconds before, it's at 8:00).

Two fans from a gaming pc !!! That's just sad.

Last year a lady at Portsmouth customs asked if she could see in the engine of my Boxster as we were stopped boarding the Ferry to Caen. 'No,' I said, 'not being rude, but no.' When I explained no one can see the engine she laughed! I did ask if she'd never stopped a Porsche before but she just said she liked the car and wanted to look at it! I like it too and that drive down to the south of France was great!

I know it's restricted in the 911, but it wasn't always that bad, was it ?

Almost unbelievable, paddle shift irked

We all might have different ideas as to how a Tvr might look like but compared to that thing it’s a stunner.

It’s hard to understand how Tvr haven’t got some big investors, hopefully they have, what with the GM chassis etc etc it’s got to be just as good as the same old same old, I had a trip to Manchester today looking at a bus for a mates stockcar, 300 miles round trip and plenty of fancy sportscars, they all look a bit boring to me, it has to be said even with the contentious front end the new Tvr is still a looker compared to most things on the road,,,,,, the side exhausts especially will have small children and men alike clambering to get a second look,,,,

Come on chaps some of you guys must have a promotions company tucked away somewhere that can help keep our new car in the limelight and push its virtues,, wink

Waiting with bated breath on the latest update.

Just watched the launch episode of the grand tour season 3. That Mustang RTR - oooh

Edit: shown as 'manual, ~700+bhp, available in RHD, good handling?!!', for £40K (assume it'd cost more to get one in the UK).

Currently watching Barrett Jackson live and a 2019 Challenger SRT Demon just sold for $107,000 or £83,000.

Not sure why you’re trying to point out here? That Porsche have copied TVR or something? A Tuscan service bonnet is in essence identical.

The more I read about this new corvette the more I like the sound of it, and I’m not a wobbly American v8 type.

They’ve apparently patented some new tech to go in it, and have trademarked the Zora name in Japan, Australia, and the UK. All right hand drive territories, and the price could well be right.

This has got to make it a TVR competitor. Evidence says it’ll be in production before the Griffith.

I wasn't fully aware and simply amazed at how little of the engine would actually be visible and i figure it's a major pain (and price factor) for servicing as well.

But to be honest the fun, anticipation, excitement has completely gone. Sad really

Crikey, for you to say that is quite something, you have been totally positive in this thread throughout the launch.

Just thinking.....Back in the day a TVR (say a £35k chimaera) was regualarly price compared to a 911. With minimal extras a 911 would have been about £58k. So a chimp was about 5/8ths of the price of a 911.
Whilst the proposed new Griff is a step forward in quality, I think a basic 911 will be c£95k on the road. I cant recall what the (post LE?) basic Griff is going to cost. If it’s around £60k then the ratio is maintained but I think it’s higher. I guess it will around £80k. Getting proportionally much closer to a 911. Then of course there are residuals and finance deals. Ok they are different animals and I guess the Griff is maybe more comparable to other sub-supercars.

According to companies house losses at Gordon Murray design up year on year, and back end of last year various new GM companies formed ...

The GMD website shows a few prototypes they have been involved in - have any of them made it to market ?

Various new companies formed, isn’t that just accountancy speak for negating tax risk.
Of course that alone suggests they are juggling which never sounds good but isn’t that quite normal, my mates done it loads of times and he’s still very rich.

Absolutely agree with RichB. I'm amazed. But I can well understand how, from the initial deposit with all the buzz and excitement has slowly dwindled as so much time has gone by. If you keep the faith, all that buzz and excitement will come back hopefully 10 times over for you.

Your compatriot, the effervescent Spagbogdog, seems to have gone missing in action now.......

You're right, but seems to be a technical issue:

...
The definition of importance is the Companies House one:

A company is dormant if it has had no ‘significant accounting transactions’ during the accounting period. A significant accounting transaction is one which the company should enter in its accounting records.
...

As they have no real operation yet and probably aren't paying much in terms of salaries, in accounting terms that still qualifies as "dormant".
