‘The car’ wins
Every time
NO driver skill
Strategy insitu ability
Big yawn from Me I’m afraid
I ride bikes..
More aggressive
Down to ability, fitness and training.
F1 is rubbish in comparison (imo)
If a contemporary F1 car can get round Barcelona in 1.18 and the equivalent GP bike does it in 1.38 you’ll find the driver had a much more physical and mental experience. coping with huge G force takes a body of steel just like motorcycle racing does but braking and apex cornering is way slower and longer on a bike. F1 racing is the fastest and hardest form of racing there is and there’s never been much debate about it. It’s why it’s called Formula 1 after all. Every time

I’d say you need to be stronger on a bike but I bet the average 10 stone F1 driver has neck muscles in places the rider has never even visited
Most riders by the time they get to the top are smashed up in some way so more like Jonny Herbert and cant train properly, but they are obviously very fit men and I hold them in equal esteem.

I don’t sit on them and twist a rubber sleeve
I use my own strength (both mental and physical)
Far more engaging.
F1 is tough but nothing in comparison to TDF etc

Agree that TVR is all about noise ,and supercharging by its very nature increases noise I absolutely promise you.
If you count WHiiiiiiiiiine as noise - saying that I loved the engine in my supercharged Mini Cooper S and the whine it producedTrust you also love the over-steer, tram~lining, unfathomable sat-nav and incredulous mpg..??????
Not forgetting the amount of oil it consumes..nor the ‘playfull’ electric windows, tyre wear and basic lack of ‘wanting to travel more than 5 miles in it’.,.
Mmm.. sorry Puff..almost forgot for a minute you’re a Sag owner..
I doff my ‘peaky-~blinder’ to ya

The noisiest whine I have had is with a Whipple ,but when at 13-14 lb boost the increase in combustion noise was very noticeable indeed to me.Classic Chim said:

But for me...Nothing beats Sa Calobra.
Whichever way you attack it..there’s at least 3 Cat-1 climbs to do before you descend 10k of the ‘MOIST’ deeelishusssss hairpins
And the same 10k Cat-1 climb BACK UP to get back OUT !!!
Then another hour or so. to get back home.
ECSTACY !!!!
G~Force....Pahhhhhhh..

I do a bit but no cyclist, use a turbo trainer and ride my bike daily but never more than about 30 miles before I get bored and knackered
My mates hardcore and we sat and I made him recall every stage he did, serious dedication to fitness all his life so he pounded round, lands end to O’Groats he’s done all that in really fast times.
Cycling racing and the tour, awesome courage and strength they all show.
The mental capacity for circuit racing in F1 can’t be underestimated which is why they are usually Bulletproof fit. Any knock off of brain power will effect lap times.
Although they coast round these days looking after the tyres

Have Tvr released any details of the flat floor eg how they have addressed the issues under the engine (this I understand can create flow challenges).... I wonder at what speeds the flat floor will have handling benefits? Surely it is best at higher speeds ie tracks rather than road?
Mercedes/McLaren released all that info around 15 years ago. spagbogdog said:

...with a switch to go loud....
TVR doesn’t need a switch.
To be fair my comment was more aimed at turbo charging. As per my other comments I loved the supercharged engine in my 2005 Mini Cooper S, with a slightly tweaked induction the supercharger made a real loud whine that made me smileTVR doesn’t need a switch.

"unfathomable sat-nav" must be talking about my new Mercedes's Nav - the worlds worst Sat Nav. The A47 Norwich to Great Yarmouth via Acle is dead straight, dead straight for miles through the broads, no corners, nothing, very fast and simple. Except for in a Merc Sat Nav which seems to thing there is a quicker way going miles out of the way cross country even though its neither shorter, faster or easier.tertius said:
To be fair though that is a fairly self-defeating set of requirements - I mean how many cars TOTAL can you actually buy with “aero/chassis designed by Gordon Murray”? Though I note that in your your next post you ditch that one and buy a car that meets every other requirement!
for whilst', waiting.. !!It was in the showroom, for sale when the new Griffith was shown at Topcats (see Shmee video) .. TVR press photos have a pic in the background of me peering into the bonnet of the T350C I bought.. (whilst waiting for new TVR, with the Gordon Murray bit, plus ABS and TC would be a nice to have)
