Don't know if your speaking out of interest, but i think if you get in contact with someone who wants to return you might directly take his position in the queue. But this requires confirmation/consultation from/with TVR first !
I confirm that this is the case, I've sold my deposit to someone else and he took my place in the queue.
I thought this wasn't going to be allowed?
Not in the sense that you trade them. But passing it on is ok as long as doesn't get out of hand (at least that's what it said in the FAQ). How often that is, i don't know. But it needs not be registered with TVR anyway to insure that the new contract/deposit relationship is between the new depositor and TVR.

There is of course a way without TVR having to agree and that is, that the original holder keeps his deposit and enters a private, binding agreement with the new depositor. Who could then sell this on to the next person, and so on. This usually ends in no car, money gone and bloodshed whereas being a direct depoitor leaves out the bloodshed-part biggrin

My prediction is that on or very shortly after 11am on the 29th March, all will become clear.
Mine is not
Will take far longer than that date
Maybe the 'exciting big news' promised was that Mr Ashley was investing in the new company. Probably got delayed after buying House of Fraser and bidding for Valerie Patisserie. Just sayin' ......
Don't knock him...he also bought Agent Provocateur..which in my book makes him a top-geezer yesyesyes

Hi Hall.Firstly rang TVR direct on their deposit line last Monday asked when next update would be,told in the next 2 to 3 weeks.Secondly if you pull your deposit out or change name you will definitely go to the back of the queue,so please cash in as I am about number 200 this will be built,it’s a one off car(500) back to school driving,we’ve all been told the price whether it comes in a year or 3 years,in the flesh looks drop dead including the front, I agree photo of front end not good in photos, but trust me every one will be looking at your arse.If your scared of loosing £2500: To£5000: and most have paid by card, you really can’t afford this.So please go and buy RS Fiesta have some fun,on a different Forum.

At least TVR (or their children) are finally engaging with the forum.

You lot are so slow. The big news is the new head of marketing. From the sentence structure I can immediately tell who they’ve appointed. hehe

No Spag. I think it’s the “T” and the “V” from a new TVR logo but the leg of the “T” has fallen off hehe

It's what I was told. If you pull the deposit and return or agree to pass it to someone else (change name with TVR approval) then you went to the back of the queue.
I cashed mine in last year, we bought another house instead.

Deposit returned to me within 6 working days. No quibble, no excuses. If they were in financial difficulty I dont think they would be handing back deposits quite so readily so I dont believe there is any reason for anyone to worry about if their deposit is safe or not.

As for me buying the new TVR....all I can say is one day I will....the convertible version with more aggressive styling and a supercharger giving 700 bhp!

I have the email from TVR saying "We will update our records to indicate that XXXX is the new holder of that deposit position (ref ####) and will issue a replacement receipt to him shortly. We thanks you..."
