New TVR still under wraps!

What's going on here?
Why so much anger with posters?
The latest email was crap TVR, absolute crap - but my order is still in until I know what the car will eventually look like.
Years have gone by and whether you are a fan or not of the looks, it ain't no jag e type, so it needs a refresh - let's wait and see what happens.
Everyone who is attacking Les, I think you are being unfair, attack his taste but not his commitment or motives.
Am I gullible? Am I an idiot? Maybe I am. When you are in love with a person, sometimes your feelings are the same. Do I think Les and co are abusing this relationship? No. Do I think they need to go to a Manufacturer/Depositor Guidance Counsellor? Yes.
Let's stick to the car and if you want to discuss business plans, the market, the morals and Mr Wheeler, maybe start a new Topic?
By the way, if it sounds like I'm sticking up for TVR, I'm not, I want a better looking Griffith Les or I will give my place in the queue to Spag!
Testa, no other threads please, all the haters will get confused. It's everyone's destiny to keep this one going until the car is done. Why so much anger with posters?

+1 .. Besides providing the workforce with free fruit at break times , the other good thing Somolenski did was to improve build quality , he just had a***holes as managers and a few codheads
I remember unrep and puffsback at the Red Lion , puffsback didn't you fly up to Blackpool ???

Spag,
I meet folk all the time that know someone that knows someone that has a story to tell about TVR reliability and quality. They generally spout crap.
You're one step up from that, kind off different in that you have a used Griffith... however similar in other respects.
To respond to the question, we've had 6 new or very nearly new cars beteen 2005 and 2008, no issues with quality, did what it said on the tin. We had quite a few before those, and again the ownership experience was enjoyable with only one TVR breakdown requiring assistance in 40 years.
So am I also taking bks and living in dream land?
Anyone who doesn't acknowledge the increase in build quality Moleskins brought about is missing some history here. Not all ex employees have a problem with him, many could see what he was trying to do, yes he ultimately failed, but he did bring about some very positive changes. I see similarities to Les here, he had his heart in he right place, certainty Les has that, however some of the handling of the situation in 2006 was diabolical - no different to now. Nikolai failed, which I believe is influencing some of the negativity on here - some of us feel like we have seen it all beforeI meet folk all the time that know someone that knows someone that has a story to tell about TVR reliability and quality. When the T2 was launched the screen in the binnacle couldn't be viewed if the sun was shining! Oxley told me that Ben Samuelson's solution was to tell the owners to buy sunglasses! Which was probably what PW would have done. Instead Smolenski had them develop a new screen which was fitted to my car and that of Lady Di. It worked and the other cars were changed.

Smolenski definitely improved things on that front. Build quality generally was better on 05 and later cars. I was sat beside the road several times in my 03 but never in the later 2 cars. I never had any of the usual engine issues with any of them but I treated them sympathetically. The Speed 6 is a great engine if treated correctly in my opinion.

Didn't ST8Six have Lady Di's car for sale recently? When the T2 was launched the screen in the binnacle couldn't be viewed if the sun was shining! Its Ben in the YouTube clip from a few pages back - might have missed him by being distracted by the scenery
Not forgetting Emma Samms (name change as an Actress is Bens sister ) As a kid I don’t quite remember her on telly, but it would have been time to whip a littlewoods catalogue out
