As I’ve made clear a couple of times already, I don’t have a dog in this fight and I remain dubious as to whether the project will ever fully come to pass but I do find it a little sad that this thread has basically turned into open derision.

Of course, I realise that TVR have kind of brought it on themselves to a certain extent, what with the lack of concrete updates and also the fact that it’s human nature to laugh in the face of adversity but I still feel a little for the guys behind it - they clearly have good intentions and I now find myself rooting for them in an odd way that I didn’t think I would and certainly not how I felt a few months ago.

Don’t know what to make of it all really wobble

I understand what you are saying. As I have said before I suspect those who are saying the project is doomed to fail were probably close to TVR during the whole 2005-2006 period so have a tainted (or realistic) view on the proceedings. I was around at that time (had a Griff 500) and this has many echo's of that era. Honestly I would love to be proved wrong but I do fear the worst. I have openly said before I have always felt TVR and Gordon Murray is a bad fit. Nothing wrong with either, but together? I can't see how it works. I love Cherry ice cream and I also love real ale. Pretty sure mixing both is bad idea though!

Sadly when you look at this latest characters profile at company house, he has very little (read no automotive) experience.

His free rides on his chopper for Richard kitchen come from his aviation rental business based at Goodwood. rolleyes

Apart from that you might as well get an external heart pump for john DeLorean and fire that sucker up.

There’s skill sets and portable skill sets. This ain’t one of them.

The new factory (formerly TECHBOARD) in Ebbw Vale is now in a sorry state; even the old security lodge has been vandalised!

There was a vehicle on site this week (26th. March), and a new Portakabin, so perhaps they now have a nightwatchman?

Do any PHers know what the latest news is?

On the plus side, he is definitely an optimist. Facebook March posts:-

"Richard Smith Russell Pellatt Hi Russell - I’m feeling confident that an announcement will be forth coming- end of the month we hope"

and

"Richard Smith Russell Pellatt Russell - I feel your passion for TVR, it’s really simple isn’t, the message.....build the car. So let’s do that. At the end of the month I hope to meet you somewhere special and we can discuss the message. The wait is nearly over - keep an eye on the social media and I’ll see you face to face, drop Liz Satchell a mail with your contact details"

The busiest employee looks to be Liz as two of the directors were far too busy on track at Goodwood last week. rolleyes
Didn't take the new man long to adopt the company PR strategy. hehe

Choice of eight colours as well.

So that's how LE is raising the money for the factory and doing the testing and development work before official launch.

Yeah apparently there are now 8 Griffs built in different colours.

However TVR has scrapped the deposit scheme and now they are available for hire only (£750 per day) Should you be a chicken you can also hire them with a Chauffeur starting from £1600 for 4 hours.
