They have been increasing their social media presence on that Facebook group but again saying “watch this space” and then having no actual information isn’t really news, it’s worse than news. It’s disappointing people by not delivering information when you’ve said some is forthcoming.

Presumably there must be some things happening? If I was a depositor I’d probably like to hear “we’ve got no news this month” rather than nothing.

It’s not like telling us there’s no news is slowing them down if they’re not doing anything? If they are doing stuff then let’s hear about that?

If you’ve got customers waiting for something or some delay in providing a service or product, it’s basic customer relations to keep them updated regularly even if you have no new information.

I can’t understand why they’re so rubbish at communicating. It would make me think that they’re going to be ineffectual at fixing my car or delivering in other aspects of owning a new car from a new manufacturer.

Just pondering - has anyone who has a deposit on a car rung TVR and asked to speak to someone about the lack of info/progress/update/communication?

I was going to ask, is there an actual person on the end of that phone number posted a few posts back?

That woman you phone for the helicopter rides?

Is she not there?

What about the guy on here who was given the helicopter ride for gushing on Facebook? Did that happen?

When I passed their office a couple of weeks ago there was a secretary/office person sat at a desk with the griff in the window.

Was she a real person or just a mock up?

Did they have any biscuits you could see?

I know Les was making a big noise in the last update about biscuits. I do hope EU regulations haven't impacted the biscuits.

May be the biscuits will be made using iStream.

I’m told she looks good from that back, but has a mouth like a fish. I gather she also has a flat bottom.

She’s one of a kind and there will never be any more like her?

Probably best not to mention how many deposits there are on it

Surely Les has ordered plenty of motors and knows how depositors are treated?

Every single car I've been on the order book for have regularly sent me things like books, golf balls and tees etc. I think one of them also sent a small toy car. Head Office would ring up and offer invites to unveiling of other models etc. My cousin who has an order for a Toyota, A TOYOTA, is going to a trackday courtesy of the manufacturer - yes, ok, money is tight, I don't want free gifts, but tell me you are listening to depositors and making changes and things are getting delayed because of it.

The only other car where I haven't received much (but still more communication than TVR) is my order of the M2 CSL/GTS - but nobody knows if that car is going to be made, err....

Well we’re now in May waiting for February’s Big News but TVR have disappeared off the face of the Earth. I hoped Les would have at least proved he’s still progressing something but the last we heard from him was the home video done by that puppy-like Schmee fellah.
Les is progressing something. He's started another company.

There is no reason why someone cannot knock together a press release about the progress of the new car.....unless there is absolutely no news! (Which would seem very odd seeing production is allegedly not far off).

The lack of any update makes me think that the project has been mothballed in the hope an investor will plough some money in to get it into production. Until then, apart from slow progress with the factory everything is on hold.
That is the only reason I can see why they are not all over Social Media, and hammering inboxes about the car.

On the flip side they might hope that enough depositors cancel to make the project unviable. Excuses like Brexit uncertainty, environmental awareness, tighter regulations etc can be used as a get out, and TVR be put quietly to bed.
