I had the pleasure to receive my Megajolt kit yesterday evening.
But was rather surprised it comes in kit wink
Didn't know I was shopping at IKEA.

Now, I have to build the loom and decide where to put the various components in the engine bay.
Soooooo, wanted to know what the collective thoughts on that is?
Where did you install your EDIS module and how did you fix it and what about the coils? Where do they fit?

Thanks for posting any picture with your explanations.

And where did I put my soldering iron now?

No pics unfortunately.
With the dizzy gone you should be able to mount both coils with one of these brackets in the space now available. http://trigger-wheels.com/store/contents/en-uk/p28...

It may also be possible to mount the edis unit on the front of the bracket.

IIRC Burtons or similar do a SS or ally bracket for the Edis

Thanks

Thank you all for your help but I have all the necessary brackets at hand.
What I am after is really the physical location of the EDIS module under the bonnet.
I thought about having it attached to the coil bracket but this is directly behind the Y piece.
Isn't the module sensible to heat?

The coils need to be mounted such that the leads are as short as possible so the coils will sit across the front of the inlet or mounted to the side of the plenum.
The EDIS can be wherever you like...passenger footwell for instance. You just need to make sure you use screened cable between the crank sensor and the EDIS.

But the assembly manual calls for the shortest possible loom between the speed sensor, the EDIS and the coils...
Surely, having the EDIS in the passenger footwell does nothing for reducing the size of the loom (the loom isn't really long anyway on a Tiv).
Does the element fear heat? Can I fix it on the body, close to the AFM, behind the inlet duct?
Or is there any better location under bonnet?

I can't imagine nobody having another opinion on the subject...... idea

A TVR engine bay is likely much warmer than a Ford Lincoln Town Car where the EDIS was fitted to the front fender so getting it out of the bay would be good.
I suspect the crank sensor cable would not be much different in length compared to the Lincoln.

It does make sense having everything in the footwell.
I'll go along this idea since it's been done in the past and I'll post pictures of the installation.
Cheers
