The pictures show a gear leaver and I am prety sure the boys in Blacpool whould rather burned a Cerbera that put an automatic gearbox in one...?

I've got a back problem and can't declutch and have been forced to buy automatic cars. I've got an automatic sports car. It's still fun and can be driven with 'spirit'. An auto box doesn't stop a TVR being a sports car any more that automatic advance and retard does.

This periodically comes up as a question. TVR actually made some autos in the Wedge days.

My late friend who was dying of cancer asked if I could drop a zf hp24 into his griff 500 so he could continue to drive it.

A friend of mine needs an automatic Due to limb loss, he has had various cars converted and also a number of motor bikes.

Whilst the add may be incorrect, for some people an automatic car is the only way they get to enjoy what some take for granted.

Why would a TVR be any different?

Does such a car exist e.g. Cerb, Griff, Chim or a Tuscan?

I heard rumours of a Chim with an auto three-speed BW box about ten years ago.

And a diesel one as well. I chatted to the chap who did it. He didn't know why either.

I had to sell my Cerbera exactly because of needing an auto, I have been in AMG ever since. Still hanker after another, hence my loitering, but it will never happen now. Better to have had one than not at all!

Not so keen on a torque converter auto, but a dual clutch gearbox with shifters on the steering wheel would go very nicely in my Griff, might allow me to use it more when my left knee is playing up!
