I almost forgot electric seat adjustment - when did people lose the ability to pull a lever?

Is a change up warning the same as shift lights? My Tuscan had those and my Evora has them, very useful if the engine is free revving and you are driving hard.

Parking sensors are invaluable in the Evora as rear visibility is poor even through mirrors, so I would go for those.

Stuff I would not want is things like hill hold, lane assist, elec seats, fake carbon fibre, removable plastic rear screen with bendy clips so you spend your life looking in ditches and behind hedges, bump steer, 20 different ecu's with dodgy terminals scaterred in random places

I would want nothing that functions less well than it does in another similar vehicle - packaged up with an excuse that it is that way as its hand built

Do people really not want parking sensors? As long as they are the modern hidden type, not the nailed on, looks like my bumpers got measles, type i can't see the issue, and as a TVR should be hard to see out of, they are a real benefit in the real world, no?

I'm not a deposit holder but off the top of my head:

Door open buzzers
Change-up display in dash
Most T cars have both of these...? To be fair the buzzer is the alert for any message on the dash.
My T2 has a buzzer if I've left the lights on, very useful!
It also buzzes me if there is ice on the road, and this can get annoying

I don't envisage many gimmicks on the new car

I certainly wouldn't want to see a tow bar biggrin
I should have been more specific, ie specifically 'eco change-up arrows', that sort of thing.

Buzzers - well, I can live with lights-on buzzers, but my Merc goes bananas as I reverse into the garage, buzzers for what seems like every eventuality. The first time a pedestrian crossed behind my car in a line of stationary traffic made my other half jump as the buzzers suddenly sounded biggrin

Why would you need a lights on buzzer? Just have lights that turn themselves off a few seconds after the key is removed.

Headlight bulbs that can't be changed without having the hands of a baby, arms with 7 elbows and an eye located in the palm of your hand.

Indicator bulbs that can't be changed, ever.

A fcensoredg silver key next to the 12V socket. curse

A great big chassis cross brace obstructing the timing chain cover's removal. curse

Puddles in the footwell.

An ECU in the footwell where it could get wet.

Ribbon cables, anywhere, for any reason.

Fuel lines routed above the exhaust... curse

Fuel lines made of licqorice...

Fuel lines in the path of an errant throttle cable.

Slow wipers.

Slow electric windows.

Gaps that I can put my fist inside where there shouldn't be.

No gaps that I can fit my fist in when something needs replacing.

Plastic clips.

Anything "Sensible".

Drilled brake discs.

A lack of proper jacking points.

Any electric boxes with "TVR" written on them.

A vanity mirror.

A predictable way of opening the doors.

Electric-only brakes, steering, throttle.

A space where the clutch should be.

Flappy paddles.

Any autonomous features at all.

A space for number plates.

And lastly for now... Tyres with any tread left on them hehe

It's pretty much been said already, electronic nannying and superfluous 'luxury' items which add weight! Unfortunately its hard to believe that anything to the true spirit of TVR can be produced these days with so much legislation on vehicle design but I'm truly hoping to be proved wrong smile

Some real old skool TVR lets keep it a no frills sports car ideas.

Why not keep it a balls out sports car with the luxuries you would expect on a 100K car, but with the ability to not use them if you don't want too. Power to weight impact shouldn't really be an issue with the basic stuff added.

If you really still want cave man stuff, go speak to Caterham.

Apart from lack of abs and tc, the Tuscan was relatively luxurious in its day. Full leather(in mine), electronic ali dash, multi coloured LED's on various controls, electric boot opening, targa etc
