Yes, agreed. Going to see if I can juggle things around to get to the meet and see Chris and his 430 at the same time. WOuld be good to meet a few of you that have kindly posted on this thread just to say hello and thanks.rockits said:
Am I right in saying there is a small meet in Greenwich Park 10.30>12.30pm on Saturday 22nd? Then a bigger event on Sunday 23rd all day at Bentley Wildfowl, Lewes, East Sussex?
I am guessing you guys are talking about and going to the meet on Sat @ Greenwich Park?

SE LONDON & NW KENT
PICNIC IN THE PARK / DRIVE YOUR TVR DAY
23RD JULY 2017
SE London & NW Kent region would like to invite you to a repeat of an event we hosted for last year’s Drive Your TVR Day. It was a great success with nearly eighty cars and their owners enjoying a great day at a lovely venue.
The date is Sunday July 23rd and once again we will be at Bentley Wildfowl And Motor Museum. This is a beautiful spot near Lewes in East Sussex with easy access via some great roads. The venue itself has large grounds which include a small motor museum, a café, some local craft shops, a small gauge steam train ride and a wildfowl sanctuary which includes several lakes.
Once again we have negotiated a discounted rate of £6.50 per head, payable at the gate, which will also give you a (one off) 10% discount in the café. Bring a picnic if you prefer (or do both), if you feel energetic bring some games along or just a few deckchairs so you can chill out in comfort.

Interesting, what else have you had done to it as most of the speed 6 4.5's I've seen on rolling roads have been 380-390bhp.
Whose rollers was that tested on?
The magic power roller Whose rollers was that tested on?
This is at the wheels aswell so is 470 at the fly.

Even 380-390 is good on those engines and the increased torque, especially with Powers warranty. There's been a lot of useful developments on the speed 6 and I certainly wouldn't be put off a car with that engine now.
Well I have finally managed to hatch an audacious plan that looks achievable for tomorrow.
Early rise for 6.30am departure from Hertfordshire to drop the Maser with Aldous Voice (AV Engineering, Maser Indy) for 8am in SE3. Then a little walk over to meet Chris Wood with his Chimaera 430 and other TVR guys at the Greenwich Park Observatory meet for circa 10am.
Then possibly a depart at 11.30am if it leaves enough time to walk across to Greenwich Station to get a train to Crawley for 12 noon. Arrive in Crawley at 1:30pm with quick taxi to Peter Holt's to see his Chimaeara 400. Then taxi back to station and train back to Potters Bar, Herts.
I reckon 6.30am departure and 6.30pm return so a reasonably long day but I am sure it will be worth it. Looking forward to meeting any of you that will be there tomorrow morning.
Shame I will be walking and won't have the Maser as I am sure you guys would have appreciated the sound she makes. The twin secondary decat and twin rear box delete really opens up her vocal chords a bit

Thought I would being a little closure to this thread.
Dean turned up on Saturday (as we were finishing moving out of our old house, so quite chaotic) and despite some horrific weather (certainly for any sort of test drive!) a deal was struck and we both got we wanted from our respective days.
Was nice to meet you Dean, was quite sad watching it disappear up the m23 in front of me, hope you enjoy it as much as i did.
