I don’t think you do.
I certainly did, I wouldn’t go on track without a helmet.
Interesting to see the 1960s videos on YouTube of people getting it wrong on the ring, Doors flying open and people falling out of cars, certainly without helmets and usually jumping up and running out of the way!
Complete madness.

Technically it is actually a german toll road. That is how they get away with it! You have to pay to drive on it. There are rules because it is dangerous but if it were a public road then all road rules would apply. as a 'Toll road' it can be privately owned but not need to operate under normal strict race track rules. That is how I understand it anyway. I may be wrong!!

I wonder if that Grantura with the rear arches still exists somewhereI believe the car on the right in that picture looks like a Grantura mk3
the one on the left with those rear arches looks like a Griffith 200 I believe, also the writing on the rear same-ish way as a 200, bit difficult to see in the picture though, I could be wrong. edit: it looks like it also has such little feet cool hatch in the front wing.
but, cant remember seeing any of those 2 in later years, maybe changed, also color wise? sadly no plate on that '200' look.
