Good to see you today Trev.
Brave wink

I noticed a car in the infield doing braking stops on what must be the skid pan area,,, very keen on that one.
I’ll make enquiries. wink

Hi Alun, take no notice of Barry he's just jealous of all our power. wink
I'd be up for a session on the skidpan it's the right time of the year for it as well.
Great fun today and some really interesting cars I didn't feel quite so bad about not being able to keep up with the BMW estate after looking under the bonnet.

Good to meet another S owner today, hi Barry.
Lovely car mate.

How did you find them on track.
You looked to be going well from where I was standing Trev.
The Spitfire was lovely too.
Sorry I can’t remember the two chaps names but really enjoyed meeting them.
Love what there doing, great fun.

The rainsports were very good in the damp conditions first thing and surprisingly good in the dry, although I think I should have added a bit more air for dry running.

^^^^^ yes
The weather was so iffy you probably did the right thing.

If you’d had an extra 1 -3 degree camber allround they would have coped quite well by the look of them, buts that’s not very practicable on a car you then drive home.
If I was one of the guys who trailer my car to tracks I’d turn up with a much more aggressive geo set up as it’s always the outside tyre edge that suffers and leaves you with little corner grip, putting on some camber would allow you to push instead of just hanging on.

Every track day I did felt frustrating as the car feels like it can go a lot faster if only I could get more grip.
My mates Mazda race car ran 3 to 4 degrees camber on almost all U.K. tracks so if the pros are doing it,,,,, wink

And you Barry.
I emailed Rockingham yesterday with my request for skid pan training( in my Tvr)
They do stuff for new drivers etc but in a specific car. No good to me so hopefully some clubs book the place and I might be able to tag along. Probably in the new year after chrimbo.
All I want to do is controlled slides,, not drifting as such more just big circles maintaining a power slide.
Getting into a slide has no fear for me but getting into a slide when you don’t actually know what’s going to happen is very unnerving and possibly rather foolish.
I’m no hero hence the need for such a day out.
Dunno about next week Barry as I’ve got work with my son I have to do so if we get finished I might just get there on the Sunday afternoon. I’ll try and let you know on here by next Friday if I’m likely to make it.

I've used them on track with the Tamora and they hold up well. In the south of Spain they got a bit squirelly after a few laps in 30+ degrees heat.

On the road though. I found them excellent.
